This mod modifies the existing caves of Minetest Game and adds 5 types of new cave styles, including roots on cave ceilings in forest areas, ice caves in cold areas, mushroom caves, dripstone caves and bacteria caves in deep layers.
It also adds some recipes and crafting stuff like doors, walls and stairs.

Early alpha. Improves the way light sources(torches etc) behave and allows to create huge lights, literal projectors with just a mouse click, light map will be computed for you.

Caves are interesting now
Caves are interesting with a lot of interesting vegetation. The mobs mod that goes along with this is great, too. I do have an issue where cave ice stalagmites poke through the ground into many biomes, even jungle. I was using V7 mapgen, maybe there's something to change in the settings before generating the world? Overall great mods from this author, really great!
