It adds monsters that will attack you! It makes cave-delving so much more challenging and interesting.
Most of the interesting and challenging monsters spawn very deep down. The surface monsters are not very dangerous. They don't impede surface construction or exploration. That might be a good or bad thing, depending on the kind of experience that you want.
The Mobs look nothing like the ones in the banner/cover image
They look much better, with new textures and models. I expected to see the mobs displayed above. Instead, I see the usual enemy mobs to some of the more terrifying creatures you encounter deep in the caves.
I like the Mese Monster most of all, it's one of the few hostile flying mobs to grace the game. What makes it better is that it also shoots projectiles at you. Of all the mobs in any mod, this one can both reach you and fire at you within it's firing range.
If you like danger, this mod gives it to you.

The monsters mod that i started minetest with, it is always fun to play when there are monsters around, the mod is easy to use, anyone can make a new monster easily, and it is fully customisable! recommending this mod for every survival server..
Reliable Author and Attend to Bugs Quickly
One of the few if not only existing author that takes their mods seriously to ensure critical bugs are fixed promptly. If your a serious server admin like me, you can't go wrong with their mods' collection and the fact that prompt support is normally provided to boot. :)

Minetest without these monsters, no fun XD
Minetest without these monsters, it doesn't seem to be Minetest , I love the mese monster XD ..
just be missing a strong and challenging boss, or bosses.. recently i saw that we now have a variation of danger monster, the guadians.. now we're missing a mese monster variation, idea, a blue one for water, and a white one to roam the night by the map as a ghost.. oerki, being a wizard, should cast magic, instead of hitting.. these are just ideas, but the mod is really cool !!!
Very good basic monster mod.
I do like how the monsters are all based on blocks found in the game, rather than basing them off the enemies from a certain popular voxel game. It gives the mod a distinct identity of its own, while also integrating these mobs into the game pretty well.
There are no questions, if not for one problem
This mod conflicts with the "lava stuff" mod. When I have "mob monsters" enabled, the lava orb recipe disappears. And when it's off - the crafting recipe is in place

Very nice and simple mod to start learning about mods in MT.
It is a quite nice mod, it gives a bit of hostile life to your Minetest world and I also like its simplicity both in gameplay and in the programming part, since it is useful for people who like to review the code and who want to learn a little about the functioning of MT entities.
Nice mod with cool monsters
If you want to add monsters to your game, this mod is it. The mobs are really cool, with different death animations and different attack styles. On example, the mese dragon shoots at you and drops on the ground when killed, while the spider is small, fast and annoying, which is tricky to kill until you realise that you can just stand in one position and hit him easily since he just jumps on your head, and then see how he just 'pops' on death.
These mobs are also really important because Stone monster = renewable stone, coal and iron! Oerki = renewable obsidian and gold! Golem guy is renewable mese and diamonds!
Overall, must-have if you want monsters... or renewable ores ig. You can even disable some annoying ones in the settings.

This mod is very good
I like these monsters. They look disstressing and are quite powerful. Not sure why, they don't spawn on surface. Even though I edited the spawn.lua file.

The design is worked out! The textures are high-quality and wonderful! The API is also no worse! in general, a good mod to increase the danger in mines

Good, it's need for the game to feel fun
if you don't have a monsters mod in your game then it's boring. This mod provides you what you need to feel danger. However, I would like to make some suggestions, like a separated option for "spawn chance" for each monster, or at least for the whole mod as a whole. Why do I say this? This mod depends on the settings of mobs_redo, however, having the spawn chance low (which actually makes the mobs to spawn more often) applies very well to animals, but not to these hostile mobs. Creating a separated spawn chance option for monsters would be ideal to give the player the option of balancing the spawns. Please TenPlus let me know if this is possible and if you will consider it.
Finally Luanti is dangerous!
This adds some danger that Minetest (now Luanti) has needed for a long time!
inconsistent art style
interesting mobs with different attack styles even though there are based on mobs redo, however the clashing art styles makes me not recommend this mod
