Repixture

Description

Repixture is a sandbox survival game focusing on nature, survival and primitive technologies. The world is random and features mostly a temperate climate. Explore the world and gather resources to survive. Craft tools and things to build with, build shelter and later the buildings of your dreams. What you do in this world is up to you: Go mining for the mysterious lumien, forge the mightiest sword, trade with villagers, go farming, upgrade your tools with jewels, hunt for achievements, or do more.

Summary: The first goal is to survive and build a shelter, later on you will explore the world and gather resources to improve your tools or craft simple building materials and decorations. The technology tree is rather low tech and as such, early progress is rather slow-paced. A few creatures will roam the world, most of them peaceful. Sometimes, you will encounter a village with traders.

  • Needs balancing

    overall its a decently good game but its not balanced and feels incomplete jewels are too rare, villager trades are too expansive, one purpose items like pearls flint shards graphite sulfur and lumien, missing fast travel options since this game is much about exploration, oysters too op, armor is a bit usless because there arent enought hostile mobs to justify upgrading it same with the spikes, non farmable items like ferns and flowers, fertilizer seems pointless because plants grow fast enough and you cannot recollect it or farm it

    there are good things too like the painting system which is lovely, and the breaking boat texture very nice, bucket system good too, and i like layer based mining for different ores, upgrading tools is excellent i wish more game would do that, placing various items on the ground like ingots and books which also make items display slightly less useful

    you can get couple dosen good hours on this game but its not gonna last long after

    A Fun Simple twist on classic voxel gameplay

    This game is fairly simple but it does a lot of interesting things that help it stand out, the game has a painting system allowing you to color nodes through the use of the paintbrush tool, doing things in this game is pretty easy and it isnt really designed to waste you time, but it still heavily incentivizes you to take it slow, there are no end goals and thats what makes it so special, it feels a lot like m#necraft 1.0 without the ender dragon, good game overall :)

    Exploración muy lenta

    Al principio la curva de progresión es agradable pero cuando se llega a querer conseguir objetos que se encuentran en otros biomas la exploración resulta muy lenta, me gustaría que hubiera algún botón de correr, o que pudieras craftear algún vehículo pequeño (Skate, etc.); o algún objeto que al tenerlo en tu inventario o mano te diera más velocidad, o poder teletransportarte a lugares ya explorados.

  • Peaceful game, nice ambiant sounds, smooth textures and complete features

    I played for about 4 hours. I have not encoutered any bug. This game is well designed and works. If you don't know what to do, you can follow the achievements. Be aware of finding enough food! I particularly like the menu and how the interface looks like. I enjoy this game.

    I thing this game is give a good feeling that isn't give other game. -i love this inventory system -the texture is so lovely -the vilige generation is not bugg like in mineclone you created a great minigame i hope you don't give up developing this game!!! And add sneak animation pls!!

  • Like an outdated and premodded fork of MTG with texture pack

    Anyone who knows how to install mods should install mods for MTG instead or play Mineclone2/Mineclonia. Much of the code of this game (Mineclone too btw) is just copy paste from MTG.

    The crafting system is different but doesn't justify its own game.

    Trying to make my mod compatible with it, I noticed that rp_player copy paste of player_api from MTG was even more outdated and fucked up than Mineclone's and gave up.

    Skin color selection is from yellow to brown, so I'm allowed to play any ethnicity except my own.

Gameplay

  • Weather system reworked, rain is now rarer
  • Villager trades now can accept items of a kind (e.g. "Any stone")
  • New villagers will offer completely new and more balanced trades
  • Villagers will always offer trades that belong together (e.g. buying jewels for different prices
  • Gold coins are the new main trading currency of villagers
  • Players can now trade with villagers without a trading book
  • Setting "bed_enable = false" now only disables the night skip; players can still lay down in bed and set their respawn point

Usability / UI

  • Using the map item automatically activates the minimap
  • Per-player Creative Mode (needs creative privilege, then enable with /creative command)
  • Books now display long titles better
  • Item groups in craft guide and trade menu now have a little icon
  • New minimap graphics in Repixture style (circle mode, player arrow, player marker)
  • Add subtle contour around health/breath/hunger icons
  • Trading: Add button to trade 10 times

World

  • Complete overhaul of villages
    • Villages now respect the terrain
    • Villages are no longer flat
    • Villages manipulate the terrain much less aggressively
    • Village houses are now more scattered instead of a "grid" pattern
    • Added stone villages (dry biomes)
    • Added rare gardens and painter house
    • Villages are now generated in the mapgen thread, giving a performance boost

    • Village houses spawn with different and more balanced loot

Items

  • New item: Gold Coin (1 gold ingot = 60 gold ingots)
  • New item: Owner Tool: Change owner of locked chest (needs "server" privilege)
  • New items: Redwood Log Boat, Poplar Log Boat
  • Jeweled tools may now become "gentle". They drop the block themselves, so you can get Stone with Iron, Dirt with Grass, Tall Grass, etc.
  • Compasses in item frames now point the correct way (instead of always up)
  • Improve tooltips of beds and boats
  • Add redwood and poplar log boat
  • New item descriptions and images to all farming plant stages
  • Changed TNT recipe to: 1 fiber, 6 paper, 6 gravel, 6 coal lumps
  • Change broadsword color to match steel color

Mobs

  • Villagers say a few new things to talk about held item
  • Villagers forget their worksite slower (ca. 30 seconds)
  • New villager professions: Stonemason, Toolmaker, Gardener, Painter, Armorer, Jeweler (Jeweler is only available in Creative Mode)
  • Villagers may now sometimes give hints to new players (how to get wood, a pickaxe, stone, etc.)
  • The tavernkeeper villager may comment on your achievements

Achievements

  • Achievement "Bed Time" changed: You now must lay down in bed (instead of crafting it)
  • Achievement "Hardened Miner" can now also be gotten by crafting bronze pickaxe
  • New achievement: Master Miner: Obtain an ore block in its raw form
  • New achievement: Fix me!: Fully repair a tool at the repairing table
