Adds hollow logs and stems to each Mineclonia tree and hypha. Equivalent to vl_hollow_logs in VoxeLibre. Unlike in VoxeLibre, hollow logs in this mod are not climbable. Like solid logs, hollow logs can be oriented on all three axes. Overworld hollow logs can be used as fuel and can also be used to make charcoal when smelted in a furnace. Unstripped hollow logs can be stripped using axes.
Crafting
Hollow logs and stems can be crafted from their normal and stripped variants. When crafting hollow logs, planks of the corresponding type will be left on the crafting table. Each log used to craft hollow logs returns 3 planks to the crafting grid, which means 12 planks in total. Hollow logs and stems can also be used to craft planks directly. Each hollow log or stem can be turned into a single planks block of its wood type. Any hollow log or stem can be used to craft campfires and smokers, just as its solid counterpart can. Stripped hollow logs and stems can also be used to craft hanging signs. More recipes using hollow logs may be added in the future.
Saving materials
Using this mod will help save materials in buildings that use logs and planks of the same type of wood. Let's use the house shown in the images of this mod as an example. This house uses 12 stripped oak logs and 55 oak planks, 49 of which are used directly in the building and 6 are used to craft the door. Without this mod installed, it is necessary to collect a total of 26 oak logs, 12 of which will be used directly in building and the other 14 will be used to make planks. With the mod installed, this number is reduced to 17. This is only possible because of the way hollow logs are crafted. By collecting 12 logs and using them to craft hollow logs, 36 planks will be produced as leftover. So, of the 55 planks needed in building, 36 are already available, making it necessary to collect only 5 more logs to craft the rest of the planks.
