The wrench tool allows you pick up nodes with inventories or other metadata, such as chests, signs, drawers, machines, etc, and transport them intact to another location.
This mod was originally part of technic_plus
, but was split out to be a standalone mod. It's now much more powerful, supporting many more mods, and is also safer to use.
Usage
To pick up nodes, simply punch them with the wrench (left-click). The picked-up node can then be placed as normal.
Supported Mods
To make maintaining support easier, wrench only supports specific versions of mods and their nodes. See README.md for the full list. Other versions will likely be compatible, but support is only guaranteed for the versions listed.
API
An API is provided to add support for more nodes. See API.md for details.
Worm Farm Support?
This is a GOOD mod! a definitive recommend! ...a mod like this should be added to the main minetest game by default... the screwdriver would no longer be the only tool of it's kind that does something! ... although. . call me picky, but any chance you could maybe add support for the worm farm mod? it's not exactly a well liked mod on account of the lack of fishing mods out there... except one. the one from ethereal(I use this alongside the worm farm). I was able to add in a bunch of costumely made chest nodes made by me manually with ease, but was having a hard time with the worm farm. there were some similar nodes kinda like it like the furnace, but I was still having a bit of issues figuring it out. would be nice if you looked into it. also... what was the deal with not having the normal, unlocked big chest's from connected chest's not fully configured? the LOCKED ones were.. but not the normal ones. I was able to easily do this myself, none of the less, it WAS weird though. . .
Works as described
This wrench allows you to pick up nodes with their contents and they end up in your inventory. Very similar to I Have Hands except that you use a wrench and get the items in your inventory. Note that you can't uninstall it midgame as the item data vanishes from the items if you do. (comes back if you reenable it though)
