How do I install this?

This mod adds 34 guns (pistols, shotguns, automatic guns, sniper rifles, rocket launchers), ammunition, a workbench, a grenade and a smoke grenade.

Most media is from Rangedweapons but this mod is fully rewritten and uses raytracing for perfect hit detection and better performance! It only contains modern arms. Other weapons are in the Shuriken and the Power Guns mod.

Instead of a skill system it features an accuracy system where sneaking or standing still makes your aim more steady.

TNT explodes instantly when shot at. There is ricochet, node penetration and mob penetration. Ricochet is hardcoded to 2 reflections. You can kill yourself with ricochet bullets, so be careful. Penetration means a bullet passes through while causing damage. It's indicated by a little smoke particle.

The Minigun has been restored. It isn't available in the mod Rangedweapons because of a bug.

Glass panes and full glass nodes can be broken by shooting them. They will turn into broken versions which damage the player, can be walked through and drop glass fragments in MTG. Replace them by hand or use /glassrepair to repair glass in a 50 nodes radius.

Some guns use ammunition, they don't use in reality: M1991 and Thompson use 9mm instead of the removed .45 ACP because they are very similar, Colt Python uses 9mm instead of .357, Taurus and Desert Eagle use 9mm instead of .44.

The intermediate items in rangedweapons do not exist in this mod. I decided on making a workbench for crafting directly from source materials instead because the intermediate items were not easily discoverable and looking up the recipes defeats the puzzle game purpose of the crafting grid.

Grenades can be thrown and picked up again. That means you can throw them back too. Make sure you make the grenade live with rightclick before throwing, otherwise nothing will happen. Be careful that they don't explode in your inventory.

In creative mode rifles last forever.

Known issues:

Sometimes the automatic guns keeps fireing until you move the mouse. This is a problem with the engine and not the mod and will hopefully be fixed in the next release.

Bullet holes don't face the right direction yet.

    Basically a copy of old Rangedweapons but with unneccessary changes

    Yet another weapons mod. Sadly though, this mod does not really add anything new at all to Luanti that isn't added already through better mods. As the description says, it is basically a copy of the concept of Rangedweapons, with only the implementation and some minor changes being the difference. While testing this, I had a couple of sound glitches (seemingly related to the directional sound), and the accuracy of the guns seemed to be much worse than before (probably due to the addition of a different accuracy mod). This makes shooting the guns much less fun than with Rangedweapons, and the "realistic" firing is already much better implemented in guns4d anyways.

    Also ammunition is all kinds of messed up, with a Raging Bull firing 9mil. The full-auto firing speed of some of the rifles is way too fast, and a pistol (a 9mil Raging Bull) is much more accurate then most of the rifles, including at least one of the snipers (the Dragunov).

    I don't recommend this mod for now, but since it is new, it is highly possible the author will make changes and improve it. One thing I liked about this mod (and guns4d) is that, unlike Rangedweapons, you can actually hit Creatura mobs with it.
