The original base game for UnterNull was Voxelgarden (then called nodetest) which has several useful gamplay mechanics to support skyblock type games. One is the "Weed" that automatically grows on empty farmland sometimes giving a random seed. This integrates very nicely with normal and skyblock gameplay: farm some trees, create some dirt, create a hoe and make some soil, farm the weeds popping up on the soil for seeds to plant on the soil.
Seeing in the source that you experimented with different multiplant seed recipes (all of them make sense), I guess it might be useful to have something like the above (basically an additional ABM) as an option in multiplant, too.

I like this idea and will give it a try. Perhaps it will take some time....
Done it :-) Just copied and modified the ABM from farming, an made it optional. The growth rate is very low due to the might of the mutliplant.
