From the screenshot i thought the mod would make Slime balls stick to walls ! i'm a bit sad it doesn't, don't know what the gameplay advantage would ben, but spawning slimes is fun too i guess. I can imagine it as a fun way to battle with friends, where you could potentially count the slime attached to your opponent's character to know who lost the battle. Would also make for a fun way to mark a place, by throwing slime at the wall !
Talking about that, it's quite unbalanced imo, since it pretty much gives you an infinite supply of slimes (one slime ball = several medium slimes which in turn give you slime balls when killed).
Maybe it should only spawn a single small slime ? or it would only have a chance to spawn a medium slime, like 1/3 ? or throwing more slime balls at a small slime would make it bigger maybe ? lots of ideas haha.
It felt like Magma cream didn't slide enough as well ! It's a much rarer resource than slime and it only spawns 1 to 2 fire nodes. I'd have expected it to slide slightly more and light up at least 3 nodes.
Hey, you're right about the screenshot giving a misleading impression of the slimeball's functionality. I’ll try to adjust it to better reflect how it actually works.
As for the point about it being overpowered, my initial thought was that small slimes could be spammed, yes, but they’re also easy to deal with. Plus, since they drop slimeballs, enemy players could respond by throwing them back using the loot they just got.
But if you still feel it’s unbalanced, I’ll make some changes... maybe the number of slimes spawned could depend on how many bounces the slimeball makes before hitting a player. That might help balance things out.
Finally, regarding the magma cream, I agree it’s not very interesting right now, I’ll change its values to make it more fun and worthwhile to use.
Do you think I should just adjust things like speed and acceleration, or should it have a different purpose or effect in the game?
The magma cream effect is good i think, it could just use a buff yes.
Don't the slimeballs have a determined number of bounces ? i thought so. Anyway, tying the effect of this item to the number of bounces it makes would it make it very dependent on the type of area you're in.
Also, an opponent could potentially throw a slimeball back, but try fighting back against a full stack of slimeballs thrown at you at lightning speed (that's what will happen): the slimeballs you'd throw would be instantly stopped in their track by slimes in front of you, spawning even more ennemies for you to deal with !
What we have to deal with here is the fact that slimeballs are very easy to farm and hold onto, can be stacked up to 64, and can be thrown very fast. Spawn rate of slimes should definitely be lowered ! hence my suggestion to only trigger it 30% of the time: a full stack of slimeballs would still spawn slimes from about 20 of the throws, but it would be much more manageable, and add a fun factor of uncertainty. In fact i think 25% is fine. With another 25% chance to spawn a single small slime.

Thanks again for the feedback!

Well, if this is the best solution, I will decrement the spawn of the slimes as asked. I will update the mod as soon as I can.
