The music starts suddenly, without fade-in, and is full of zap, crackle, and pop.
When it first came on, I though an exotic monster had taken a shot at me!
Apart from that, I quite enjoyed the tracks. A slower paced piano cover would be ideal...
I didn't think of possible "conflicts" between the tracks and game SFX because it would a sci-fi themed game, and you don't see that often. The fade-in is a good suggestion, it is true that some of the tracks start strong - and there's potentially a delay too. The codebase is from mpd, which makes it so that all players hear the same track, so a player who joins will have to wait until the current track end. Of course, this shouldn't affect offline games. Fading-in could be a nice touch either way. I think I heard it in other games, but just thought it was how the track was recorded.
I am a bit confused by your topline and the downvote which seem to contradict your last phrase ("music iq too exciting"..."I quite enjoyed the tracks").
Sorry for the confusion: I enjoyed the tracks, including the exciting SFX, but they are confusable with game SFX, which is why I do not recommend the mod as-is.
