Hi Bgstack15,
I’ve been checking out your mod and I have to say, it gave me some strange vibes. In a way, it feels like playing a 2010 Minecraft mod, just because of how simple and straightforward it is. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that as a negative thing, it actually has a certain charm! But it left me a bit puzzled.
Specifically, the lapis armor and tools have the same power as netherite, which feels a little odd considering that while lapis is rare in mines, it doesn’t seem rare enough to justify such strength. I was wondering if there’s any logic behind this choice; is it designed as a way to keep the game more accessible, or is there another reason behind it?
I also saw that the version is 0.0.1, so I assume you plan to update the mod. It seems like such an early version can’t just be a “test” for the API, so I’m curious if you have plans for further development. Do you intend to add more features in the future, like special effects, decorative blocks, or other lapis related details?
I was lazy and didn't want to devise a different strength. I don't think there's any demo lapis mod or other lapis strength calculation that shows its strength compated to netherite or diamond or iron. If such a mod existed, I would have just used it instead of writing my own. If you want to suggest any different strength for the armor/tools, you are welcome to! I'd probably be willing to change the strength to anything reasonable.
I always make every new thing a 0.0.1, so there's room to increase the number. However, I don't have any plans for this mod. It exists now, which is good enough!
I would love to make this the center of all things Mineclonia-lapis focused, so if there's other things we need to add, let me know! But then I would feel compelled to ask the mcl_emerald_stuff guy to add emerald versions of it, haha.

I’m curious to understand more about your vision.
