@VerdiShubert - May I ask what troubles you are getting ? Stairs Redo is a fully compatible drop-in replacement for the default stairs mod with new features.
Some errors that cause troubles appears from time to time. Is it Incompatible mods or one mod always not clear. Just now I see such trouble but without ontopic mod.
@VerdiShubert - Thanks for getting back to me, I checked both basic_houses and smaller_steps with minetest 5.6 and above and both worked ok, will keep testing just incase.

Think my comment was mistaken. Sorry.
But mod "Basic houses" says: "stairs:stair_pinewood" is not a registered node!" and game crashin` https://content.minetest.net/packages/Sokomine/basic_houses/ Also there was mod https://content.minetest.net/packages/Hamlet/smaller_steps/ that throws error: "Attempt to override non-existent item stairs:stair_darkage_basal". Seems some items was removed.
All of these mods are approved here :/
