Hello, I was fascinated by the refreshed look this texture pack gives, but also realised that there are some things that could get fixed.
First off, the coal ore block looks like a black mess got splattered over it. That's probably because the dark lines next to the coal pieces look like parts of coal.
The copper block looks like a brick, it should instead be a polished metal block.
The water has its 'lines' very visible all on it, it should be smoother. Cotton looks like bubbles, it needs to be whiter.
Lastly, the HUD using the stamina mod has a line above the hearts with lit up cells. It looks like a battery percentage thing instead of something that is supposed to fit in.
The item bar selection icon also looks bad, it is light and poppy, with a contrasting dark background. It should be calmer.
Bonus: if you're planning to set up a git website to host your texture pack on there, so people can easily look at it and report problems, I recommend you stay away from propietary platforms like github, which is maintained by a generic big tech company, microsoft, which likes to insert malfeatures in its software (like spyware). There are free as in freedom/open source replacements such as codeberg, or probably nongnu savannah too.
1) What do you mean by 'is it possible to name all "acceptable" open source alternatives"? Do you mean that I'm supposed to list more replacements? I'll research and list more if the maintainer doesn't deem those 2 good.
2) I'm not a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure that under European law (so if you're in Europe), a website is legally required to be able to remove your account and all of its data. In codeberg, in the settings it has an option to remove it. I don't know about nongnu savannah, but I don't find any difficulty in contacting the website maintainers.
Hi @BlockAndPixelAge! Sorry for not responding early and thank you for your review and recommendations! I am working on a update with some fixes and compatibility with more mods (it will probably take some time!). I'll take all your points to consideration but please understand that maybe not everything you listed will be changed because I personally am okay with how some things are, at least for now...
About the git website, thank you for the warning about Github! I am looking into codeberg, but I am not a programer and I've never used git before, so I have to learn how it works hehe
Thank you for checking out my suggestions, and also considering free/libre git platforms. I don't think you actually don't need to be a programmer at all to operate a git website, it's just about clicking buttons, it's a GUI. Codeberg even has documentation if you scroll to bottom of website and click on text on left. I glanced over it, and they tell you to install git, but you may not want that since it's a commandline tool. However, they still talk about getting started through the GUI, and also sometimes present options if you wanna do something on the website or CLI.
hey @NameNotQuality (hope I tagged the right person this time) it's been a while, and I don't know if you noticed, but I remembered to mention here that the new release touched almost everything you pointed out except the water. Sorry I actually made the lines even more visible now. I just like how it looks this way.
Thank you for taking my suggestions. It was indeed a while (almost 6 months?), in which I even changed my favourite sandbox game from MTG to NodeCore, so I'm not sure how can I keep using this texture pack now, but I still appreciate you changed it (I've now also tested this texture pack in MTG again). I've changed my review a bit to highlight this.
As for water, now imo it kind of looks like stone, but I understand you also have an opinion and I didn't expect all of my proposed changes here to be taken anyway.

Yea, look at first comment, @Mirtilo, it was me.

Also, the pack is on codeberg now.
