I can help you only if I see why it crashes, you can find the log file in the game folder
I checked, the problem is that if you download it from the game content, the game downloads an old wrong version that I corrected,(I don’t understand why)Even if you link here on the site is right ,in the meantime I resolve the problem ,I recommend you to download manually from the repository or minetest forum:
version 16-5-2020
unzip and put in the mod folder
make sure the extracted folder is "CANNABIS_MOD"
and not "cannabis"
As soon as I resolve, I suggest you reinstall the mod directly from the game for future updates I’m going to do, thanks for your patience ,and sorry for the delay in these months I had several personal problems, including the premature loss of my wife :-(
Why a mod of cannabis???

Ok I solved it my way , but it works :-P Now you can download it directly from the game
