Hm...another MTG-like game, just without dependency on "default". Again Minecraft-like crafting (3x3). The textures look very prototypy (and probably are). I sure like that you cannot cut trees with your bare hands, something I always found strange in MTG or MC. Also I was killed by a hailstorm, nice idea. I always wanted hazardous environment (maybe not that hazardous as in Exile).
As in "Wishful" I must ask why you don't take some other non-MTG survival game and build upon that. I'd recommend Repixture. Personally I like the approach of NodeCore, where you craft in-game and cannot carry 500 tons of rock around with you. I just don't think that we need yet another from-scratch approach to survival games, as long as it doesn't bring any breaking change.
I am not taking MTG's/MC's approach to most things, only crafting (for now, this was a placeholder as it is WIP) and inventory. Also the textures are the aesthetic that we are going for in game, though I do want to work on it some.
I have a different opinion. I have no problem with trying to reinvent the voxel sandbox genre if the concept is interesting enough or adds a new twist or is just well-executed and avoids design flaws of similar games. Even if a game is similar, I think we should be fair and rate a game on its own merits.
I feel flattered you name-dropped Repixture tho. :D
Now this seems a lot better. I tried it a little bit making fire with flint and iron, but didn't find out much more. Still no idea where to get sticks from, for example. I had expected ways like in NodeCore (dig leaves and you will get a few sticks now and then). My inventory is filled with many different kinds of "turf" that I cannot put on one stack. Not ideal. Number of inventory slots is far too high in my opinion. Does not look 'natural' to me. But maybe realism isn't the point of the game, I don't know.
I generally don't like the 2x2 textures, looks like a plastic world, but I'm definitely a fan of crafting by tools and gestures, without any HUD.
I have changed my mind from "negative" to "neutral". Let's see what will come. I will watch.
Most of what you mentened are things we plan on changing by the beta version, except maybe the invenotry slots, thats still undecided wether we want to keep it or use a storage system.
Sticks are found on the ground in a warm forest near trees.

The crafting mechanic has been changed in more recent versions
