There is a small bug where if i dig a glowing ore (e.g Diamond ore), and there are diamond ores next to it, those other ore's entities are cleared (this is really annoying if there are neighboring diamond/mese ores).
Change lines 151 and 193. both are local objs = minetest.get_objects_inside_radius(pos, 1), change 1 to below 0.5
Its a small bug, and a small fix but will mean that diamonds wont disappear randomly :)
Yeah i really should have specified this was more of a 'tech demo' if anything, It was quite rushed in development and some of the problems you faced were probably cause of that.
Also the 'Line of Sight' aspect was in the fact that certain objects would move when out of your line of sight (though sometimes they did move while in your view and this is a known bug).
Hopefully i get to making a kind of sequel or major updates cause the current version is close to unplayable
Ok after some experiementing it seems that rejoining AT ALL is enough to cause the softlock.
I hope that this is a edge case you have already dealt with but either way, this bug is a pretty easy way to lose a world to a softlock ;-;
Ironically i play at 120° FOV. I was gonna fix up the game last minute to allow it to work on any FOV but that got set aside for more important things ;-;
I'm also curious to how the chairs can even drop signs? If you know how to reproduce certain bugs i would love to know how!
(Honestly, I probably ended up relying too much on my own instinct to persistently examine every square inch of a game world until I find what I'm looking for...)
The level design definitely suggests that, lol. I personally dont like 'puzzle' that is just trying to find a trigger/item in some large room (though thats my own opinion :P)
What I assume happened is that you left and rejoined, ...
Nope. during one playthrough i pressed Esc (pausing) then unpaused and that was enough to trigger the softlock. Idk how such a softlock is even possible but all i know is that it is :P
(I tried to reproduce the glitch again and 2 later attempts came with no success...)
It simply doesn't work, the lights in the generation do not cast light more than ~1 block
Ah.. Yes this was a known bug during development and apparently still is a bug. im not totally sure how to fix it?
i tried adding a thing to update all the lights but that doesnt seem to have worked for you-
From what i know just re-logging onto the world should resolve it...
If it doesnt then uhh.. i dont really have a plan for that :P
Lighting works for me though it's a bit glitchy (I assume you used wielded light)
I assume you're talking about the flashlight? In which case yes its glitchy and no it doesnt use wielded_light. it uses one of wielded_light's nodes but doesnt go any further than that
The cut scenes and stuff are amazing and pretty impressive. I got stuck in a large room with water and im not fully sure how to progress further?
Also i ended up switching to Vix then left the game, and trying to enter the world causes the game to crash. so thats a way to lose a world i guess.
There was also a case where i seemed to have accidentally permanently softlocked by pausing at the wrong time when Vix is supposed to wake up (she simply never wakes up)
Oerall a great looking game but easy to break if you are not careful
Nothing that interesting really happens, your kinda just given a few buttons to click and some numbers to look at.
I dont really know what to say other than its not that good. and has no relation to the theme what so ever
I originally planned to ship 10 levels in the game, but that eventually fell to 5 due to time constraints. the levels were also not made very well.
e.g the final level could not be beaten as it lacked the code to allow it to be a beatable level.
There might be updates to this game or a seperate game that expands the idea in a much more 'complete' way
Btw if you can update the mod...

This is a great enhancement to the game. The glowing ores look awesome and i do want to see more mods like this :D

I would really hope so ;-; Theres only 2 instances of
math.randomseed().Can you describe where/when? Info to help debug would be much appreciated!
Idk what im supposed to do. goal is pretty unclear and the game is not all that interesting
Nice game. its got a cow, and its fun

created a new world and tried to run it. it crashed on the spot and i cant play it
