The forum post has some information on what you can do with the mod.
This mod was originally made because I wanted to add crystals into the caves of the game, and then I remembered that Thaumcraft had some neat stuff and the concept could work with crystals instead of floating "nodes" and started implementing some of that functionality. But I didn't really want to just remake Thaumcraft in Luanti and truthfully I lack the creativity to do anything original lol, so it just became abandoned.
Some of the functionality could possibly be re-used in another magic mod if someone wanted to, but as far as I'm concerned, I will not be doing anything with this mod anymore.
I have changed the logic a little bit for both games, it should be a lot more manageable now. Maybe a bit on the slow side but that'll hopefully improve once I implement the modifiers system.
Which game are you playing on? I know that my mineclonia/voxelibre implementation is pretty wack at the moment, should be mostly fine on MTG-based games IMO..
This crash should be fixed in Beta 3.4.
It seems like this game registers a cooking recipe for an item it does not provide. I'll add an extra check for that to the crafter.

The bucket mod has been removed and instead a new mod, bucket_compat, has been added to shim other supported bucket mods.
