I really like the mod better than the normal walls. Unfortunately the cobblestone wall doesn't connect to the stone bricks, but the stone brick wall does. I'd like to see all the walls connecting to more of the nodes instead of gapping up where it should meet.
I love the variety of trees and plants! The wood textures and biomes are great! I like that there are many fruit bearing trees, so we get plenty of foods. As an explorer and hoarder, this appeals to my need for collecting each tree, flower, biome sand/stone/dirt, and food source.
The only two issues I have with the mod are:
1. Doesn't play well with other biome mods nor moretrees mod. (It tends to override the generation of their plantlife.)
2. No circular saw compatibility.
I have yet to test this mod with technic's CNC machine.
How would someone blacklist specific tools from being able to be used inside the machines or the machines to not dig specific nodes? Example: Enchanted Axe with Fortune III and Healing Tree would possibly dupe the tree node when it harvests it using the Node Breaker, instead of getting only one tree node when using a normal Axe.
(continued review, since I reached character limit..)
I've seen some servers where the admin have modified the replacer mods to take damage or need to be charged (using technic). I personally like the servers who's admin blacklist ores for this mod, because not everything should be able to be dug up by a simple click using a tool made from 2 chests and 1 stick. (Speaking of the crafting recipe, that can be changed up too, so it's harder for new players to craft this item, such as using a steel block instead of a stick, or two ender chests instead of regular chests.) I suppose they could even make it so you have to have a certain xp level, title, or privilege to use it as well.
Anyways, for those who are interested in a way to place (or replace nodes without having to dig and place), this is a great mod. For those who hate dirt and cobblestone houses and don't have access to using WE, this is a good solution to help you change the blocks out quickly, once you have found something you want to use instead.
I really enjoy using the replacer mod as a person who likes to build on servers. I may not be the greatest builder, but when placing nodes, this is so useful so you don't have to keep placing and digging when it doesn't face "just right" or you're frustrated using the screwdriver on every node that needs turned differently. You must have more in your inventory to use them, else you will get an error that tells you that you have no more to place and some nodes will be blacklisted, so you can't replace or place those nodes. (TBD by the Admin.)
Also, I have this silly thing I do when I join a new server. I build with whatever material I can get the fastest - usually dirt, unless starter items are provided. That means I'm building a quick dirt box. (EYESORE! YUCK!) This is where the replacer is AMAZING!
Place down whatever node you want to use.
Shift + right click the node to select it.
Left click to exchange an existing node for the one you selected.
Right click to place the selected node on any exposed face of an existing node to place the selected node adjacent to the existing node where you clicked.
If you want to switch over to another node, you would simply repeat step 2.
Ok, so back to my dirt box starter house. I can spam replace all the dirt randomly or uniformly to make it look nice, such as turning it all to wood planks, if I have them in my inventory. I can also place nodes next to other nodes, so I could take stone stairs and create a roof, by placing them along the top most dirt's exposed side and exposed top. Some nodes will be filled in by hand, but those that have to be turned are easiest placed after the first one is placed and turned the direction needed.
I am so glad this mod exists. I love collecting things in game so this suits me well. I love finding at least one of each item (ie: crops, animals, fish, stones, ores, etc). I'm also a horder, so I'm glad to see I can capture and keep "just a few" of these mobs.
The only thing I would love to see added would be a way to color/rename folders and boxes.
Server I found to play with this mod: Crystal Land
i3 vs UI+
1. UI+ is easier to use than i3, because you can see the "set home" option, which is kind of hidden in the i3 interface.
2. i3 also has 4 hidden slots when using chests, which is nice if you want the 4 extra inventory slots.
3. However UI+ makes up for the lack of those 4 slots with 4 bag slots that do not drop the bags on death.
4. i3's bag slot does not store your bag upon death, unless you turn off drop inventory upon death.
5. i3 allows you to remove the bag and contents, which you cannot do with UI+.
-will add more pros and cons later. (Most servers don't have i3 for me to make more comments, so I need to explore this a bit more.)
I haven't had a chance to explore all of the uses for this mod, however, I am able to use it to do a number of things. One of the biggest issues I had was that I was not savvy enough to figure out how to use several of the items in this mod on my own, so I'm glad that I had other players to help explain some of it to me.
Minerchest is a great machine, however it doesn't support several mods at this time that I would love to see implemented, such as:
quartz,
gemstones, and
compressed nodes from moreblocks.
Compactor is one of my favorite machines. The recipes are at the bottom and you can scroll through 6 different ones.
I love to build, but when I'm starting, sometimes my starter homes are dirt, just to be "safe" through the night. (I hate dirt towers, so I'm making a hut right away!) I know a lot of admins hate when players make dirt huts, but we all start somewhere. Anyways, once I have some wood to build with, I can craft the replacer (most of the time, unless the materials to make them are modified by world owners). Then I begin to replace all the dirt I can with the wood, even if it's not the same type, just to make the house "not dirt". I have even used wood to make fence windows until I have a furnace and glass. (You do what you have to do to survive!) The replacer just saves me the time of digging or chopping down the original house and lets me replace one node for whatever other node I have in my inventory that I want to use.
How to use the node replacer(explaination is for pc users only; mobile users, sorry I have no way to explain the process):
Set out one of the nodes you want to use for the replacement node (ie - stone block).
Using your replacer, click on the item by holding shift and right clicking.
Once your new node is selected, pick up the node you placed out of your inventory so you are able to use it.
Click on the node(s) you want to replace.
**Note:** This only works if you have the new node(s) in your inventory. If you only have 1, you can only place 1, unless you have creative.
I love Ethereal, Cave Realms, Dwarf Fortress. and other land/underworld mods but everyone has them. This is fresh and adds a new dimension to the game. I have been exploring the mod on Ancient Times server, but really haven't found all the biomes yet (because the server is a bit harder to play than some). I'm really excited to see more! I hope more servers consider adding it! I know older ones can't easily, but it would be awesome.
I'm hoping something might be added to the skies or "Nether" region for this mod. I'd love to see what SaKeL would do with that!
I love this mod. It's not easy to use, which appeals to me. I like a bit of a challenge. It's not too challenging however so most people can learn to use it relatively quickly, IMO. The code helps for those who know how to read it, but that's kind of cheaty. :D
I'm enjoying this mod over on Moonlight Falls. It's been paired with other magical mods for a bit more interest on the server.
I really like how you can condense the food items into a block form and then if you need them you can convert them back into the food once again. This makes a stack of 99 food items into a 11 blocks that you can use for building or just storing away.
There are several food items that do not have recipes nor textures. I'm hoping those will be added to the mod soon.
This mod is actually pretty nice. I'm really surprised more servers do not use it. I like how it uses several nodes from different mods to create multitextured furnishings.
I think my only real critique is the about the windows and some of the furniture. The frames are too thick on the windows in my opinion. The only thing I see "wrong" with the furniture is that some of it is only one texture, when there's the options to do more with the models aesthetically. Otherwise, I really like the mod.
I think the only thing that I'd like to see added to the code is if you could do "/protect_here" and it would protect the area around you, as if you were the center most point, to the maximum allowed size.
When you start a new server, this mod will make some exploration easier. If you build your spawn with the road going through the center of your spawn (or modifying it to go around a clock tower, town square, fountain, etc) then it will help new players who join to find a place to build easier. Some will travel the road just to find all the goodies hidden along the way and a few may damage it for construction materials, but many will use it to connect their homes from, so that they have a "path" straight to spawn.
I have really wanted solid trapdoors that are "hidden" unless someone's studying every node to see what it's metadata says. I am really enjoying having this mod being used on a server so I can check it out. These will definitely improve some of my builds! I would like to see the mod grow to include Cool Trees compatibility.
It gives different colors to armors that some people might like, such as purple, red, and green. I love how the gemstones look and the boosts you get are nice effects also!
You're awesome, Panquesito7. I would love that, but maybe not to use with the airbrush mod, although I'm sure some people would enjoy that, the 15 default dye colors would be sufficient.
I think the Devs should add this to MTG! I like how you can select if you want the door locked, shared, or unlocked and set them to automatically close behind you. This eliminates the need for several other nodes, including extra doors with protection symbols and allows for more texture variants to be added.
I love the original travelnet mod, so having them colorful is great! I know Sokomine created them yellow to resemble the call booths in Germany, but I have never been a fan of the color: Yellow. It has nothing to do with anyone else, it's just my own preference.
I do wish the colors worked with all 15 colors or even better, the airbrush, so we could further customize the colors, but this is a great start!
The way the books are presented allows for you to also make custom Greeting Cards! These are perfect for holidays, birthdays, get wells, and miss you's as well as story books!
I love this mod. The dragons are so amazing. I have been seeing it used on Dragon Realms 2021. I think it's really sweet to see the dragons sleep at night. I didn't think they'd grow so large however, but I think it's perfect! I have yet to hatch my own dragon, even though I have all the necessary components. I just want to keep the eggs unhatched until I have at least two of the same color.
I love this mod because it gives the player the ability to travel around the map very quickly. Players can link multiple travelnets together on one network. This make saving locations like home, mines, certain biomes, shops, or other POI easier.
I love this mod even though it tends to lag many clients.
One of the best features for me is that this mod allows you to double ore output by grinding the ores and then cooking the ground ore into an ingot. This is extremely beneficial to new players who haven't found many resources.
There are several forks for this mod. I personally like the ones that support HV machines and chests that have more features.
I think this mod is a must have on a server that can handle it.
I really like the mod better than the normal walls. Unfortunately the cobblestone wall doesn't connect to the stone bricks, but the stone brick wall does. I'd like to see all the walls connecting to more of the nodes instead of gapping up where it should meet.

I love that I can just have one tool that does everything. It takes up less bag space and I don't have to worry about switching tools.

IMO, this UI is the best in MT at this time.

If I'm reading the mod files correctly, the golden bread basically it satiates for 10 hunger points, just like a golden carrot would?

It's not quite the same as other travel mods, but I really like this one. It's simple to use once you are able to craft the necessary items.
NathanS did a video review for Teleport Potion, which might make using it easier for those who don't know how.
The way the books are presented allows for you to also make custom Greeting Cards! These are perfect for holidays, birthdays, get wells, and miss you's as well as story books!

I think that this texture pack helps create a more harmonious landscape visual, especially where there are hills and mountains.
I love this mod because it gives the player the ability to travel around the map very quickly. Players can link multiple travelnets together on one network. This make saving locations like home, mines, certain biomes, shops, or other POI easier.

I love this mod even though it tends to lag many clients.
