Some things you mention are already possible. Although it takes a little more work to use. Fill can be used to measure lengths. Copy and Paste can be used to rotate stuff. Did you publish your changed version anywhere? I would be curious to see that.
Sometimes I want to produce bigger explosions. However it might be worth putting a warning on the formspec that explains the behavior of putting multiple items in the projectile field. Putting in multiple mob spawners or nodes will also produce multiple when the projectile lands.
You must have put in a ton of cannon shells then! I suggest putting in one wich would be a radius of 4. Basically the radius is calculated as 3 + n where n is the number of shells.
I do have some ideas for addional tools. One is a pottery wheel type tool for making round stuff. Also a mirroring tool. Also a tool that alows the user to mark 4 arbitrary points and then draws a plane that connects the points. I'm not working on anything right now but I might some time.
OK the error is because on_place is checking if the node at pointed_thing.under is buildable_to. If it is, it puts a node there. I can fix this by just setting pointed_thing.above and pointed_thing.under to the same position. I will need to do more tested to make sure this doesn't break anything else.
In the mean time you could enable fast node fill. That will still work.
This is one of my favorite Minetest games. It has very cool mechanics and features. To me it is so cool that you can do flips and crawl in the game.
The game could use refinement. The inventory formspec is kind of messy and it is hard to tell what certain buttons and inventory slots are for. Also there is often a lack of context in messages presented to the player. For example when you die a position is displayed in chat. What is this position? The location where I died? Also all formspecs showing your current in game currency balance don't show any units. It just shows a yellow number.
With some small changes this could possibly be the best Minetest game!
I have is there could be sliders for every body part and not just specific ones like shirts and pants (being able to recolor your skin to green for example).
That is a good idea. When I made it I was thinking it did not mater and it would just make it simpler. But I have heard this before that some people want to be able to color more things.
I'd also love to have a template of the default Minetest playermodel
That might be a good idea although I am kind of tired of seeing the default Sam character to be honest.
wanna get my dirty hands and create more textures via the API more ASAP.
I am interested to see what you will make. The options in this mod are a little sparse.
check dmobs... i wouldnt call them the "most" basic
OK I was exaggerating with "most" but Mobs Redo is very limiting. How do I have a mob shoot and walk at the same time? Why does it keep playing the walking animation when a mob is standing and shooting? How can I have more than one sound for a particular perpose? These are rhetorical questions not honest questions.
Mobs can be as basic or as complicated as the user wants them to be by using the api functions or adding their own custom one's.
Yes, anything is possible if you start modifying Mobs Redo but do to the nature of Mobs Redo it is hard to modify without breaking other things.
Mobs Redo isn't all bad. You can get functional mobs up and going with little effort. Something most other mob APIs can't say.
This is one of my favorite Minetest mods. I love the high frequency of villages and houses. I like that you can find villages and structures with a chat command. I think this mod provides better villages than villages in Minecraft.

It's mainly inspired by the skin editor in Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Glad you like it!
Awesome! I will update my post.

Nice job!
I wish something like this were in MineClone2.
Thanks for reporting this. I have now fixed this on Github. A new release will be automatically created on CDB by tomorrow.

What item were you using to fill with?
A screenshot would also be helpful.
Yeah it could definitely use some more skin items.
This is a fun mod to have on a LAN server.
I recommend using git. It will eliminate errors like this and make your life easier. You will also be able to track changes with commit messages.

Only useful for the most basic mobs.
