Greetings from South Korea! As a hobby, I collect real elevator components and experiment with getting them to work. I had successfully operated several components, including floor indicators, but since I did not have an actual elevator controller, I could only run them using simple demo code that simulated traveling between floors.
Then I discovered this mod and immediately thought it would be perfect for operating my real elevator indicators. Although this was my first time working with Lua, writing a serial communication script to connect the mod to the real hardware was not particularly difficult. It worked exactly as I had hoped.
I also designed and built a custom PCB to act as a communication bridge between the PC and the indicators. Here is a video showing the mod connected to some of the real elevator indicators I own, most of which were made by Korean manufacturers. Please take a look if you are interested!
