Unified Inventory by RealBadAngel
Replaces the default inventory and adds a number of features, such as a crafting guide
A collection by Eldino
A selection of mods for educational use in cultural mediation (town planning, history, architecture, etc.).
This collection of mods is temporary. I created it as part of a project at the Institute for Research and Innovation funded by the NLnet foundation with financial support from the European Commission's Next Generation Internet program.
This is a selection based on feedback from various educational projects using Minetest carried out in France since the late 2010s (some of which can be seen on the official website).
Most of the French projects combine the use of some of the mods in this collection with the IGN (French National Institute of Geographic and Forest Information) service for using geographic data from France, Belgium and the rest of the world (OSM) to generate Minetest maps.
Thanks in particular to the enormous work of Lemente and Thomate, with whom we created the Discord Edu Pop server, we are trying to bring together mods based on their relevance to Minetest projects for education in a collective way to facilitate the creation of new educational projects.
It should be noted that it is not the mods themselves that have an educational purpose, but the combination of them that enables us to meet the needs of many French educators who have each developed their own teaching method with Minetest. Some important mods are not yet available in the DB, and some are being developed in-house for the time being. Here are a few examples of recurring functions:
