Yes, finnally, we have a free Minecraft variant which is actually really similiar to Minecraft! But it has some bad parts:
-First: I can run Mid modded minetest game on like 200 FPS but Mineclonia on 40 FPS and in high density florests in 5 FPS
-Second: Super glitchy, I found 1 dupe glitches by just playing the game and a way to take no fall damage from whatever height pretty much just by croutching.
-Third: It is rarelly updated, and the "makers" of this game are really lazy, saying that they will add stuff like the spear in the next update on a thread but just don't.
Conclusion and recommendation: I recommend this game for users that have some sort of RM 4900 or just play Minecraft, cuz in my computer Minecraft is smoother then Mineclonia, this is not for people that like some of the minetest game (default depended) mods.
By the way if there's a new update on Minecraft my people, you guys will see that it will take a year for Mineclonia to half update to Minecraft, they haven't even added half of the ancient city including the Warden yet, not even frogs ;-;
I can't really reproduce any severe performance issues as you describe and I'm playing it on a fairly old thinkpad.
It is rarelly updated,
Not quite sure what you're expecting, the last update was less than a month ago.

If you actually report these kinds of bugs instead of dropping vague hints there's a good chance they will be patched soon
a way to take no fall damage from whatever height pretty much just by croutching.
Not sure what exactly you were doing but I just tried jumping off a cliff while crouching and I died fine ...
And finally for features they will be implemented when there are devs interested in implementing them. It's as simple as that. It's good keeping in mind this is a hobby project by unpaid developers doing it in their free time.
What you describe about high density forests sounds like the engine rendering leaves or something inefficiently on your device. We have no control over that. Both people who praise Mineclonia for better FPS and people who complain are generally misguided as Luanti games has little to no control over rendering performance.
Calling us lazy is also a bit weird when Mineclonia has the most active development of all games/mods in Luanti. In less than three years it has merged/closed over 2400 pull requests. This is more than any other Luanti game/mod, including much older ones like Minetest Game and VoxeLibre (formely MineClone 2). Just in the past month we have merged 50 changes.
Idk I started taking no fall damage from crouching want a recording? I can send you a recording do you have discord or something?
Well I believe you have that experience all I can say if i fall and crouch i take damage as expected. I have also never heard this before. So without knowing more it's hard to tell what is going on there. (Are you maybe using a cheat client? :in which case, yes then i also don't take damage when crouching - also no damage when not crouching :P)
