Package: WhyNot?

  I want to make a positive review as I like WhyNot? Because:

  • it's communitary
  • it's opened to contribution and feedback (no all developers do that!)
  • it's rules are clear enough, and they are actively working on it.
  • it's fun enough

  What I'd do to improve the project:

  • license the code correctly! Just now, as-is is not Free Libre Software!
  • take a look at other games as mesecraft or hades, exploration is a must, and terraformation is a plus! portals? etc.

  is not licensed properly

  it sais "GPL-3.0-only"

  but source code is not licensed as it has to be:

  Feel free to open an issue for a portal mod that you like. It'll get reviewed eventually, though it should be noted that teleportation is possible via the compass, when you click on a mese block

  As for portal, we have the compass as lazerbeak12345 mentioned. We're also considering Nether for inclusion, which would add Nether and cloudlands portals: https://github.com/minetest-whynot/whynot-game/issues/23.

  As a matter of personal taste, I think powered rails provide a suitably fast mode of travel without feeling like a cheat.
