I keep getting killed even against the ducks in nssm mod when i have the shield. Do Ihave to do anything in particular to activate it or something? Edit: Oh I found out. nvm.
for the future visitors: i think, the shield is just another piece of armor. to put it on, either left-click (dig button) while holding (wielding) it, or go to your inventory, go to the armor tab, and put it in.
