Oh, shoot. I wasn't aware of the setting. Sorry, otherwise I would have taken that into account.
Sounds good to me. I was mostly just responding to someone else's account of trouble with it from a while back. I'm not an expert on any of this stuff, but high-contrast, sometimes large on the screen, rapidly moving content seems to be the main cause for concern with photosensitivity. Like I said somewhere in there though, I'm not someone with photosensitivity; I really just wanted to make sure as many people as possible have a way to experience the game. I really think it's great. One of the best. It was more of an aquaintance though, and I forgot who it was. So I can't really help with exact details much. 😅 But yeah, it sort of bummed me out that they had a bad experience in any way with the game, because I really do love it.
If you want to repurpose any or all of the code or textures into the base game, however makes sense, if it makes sense, please by all means; and then I can just delete this mod. I'm glad you're into the idea, because I didn't want to pressure you about it. But that's why I used public-domain-equivalent licenses for my code and modifications. I really don't care how any of it is used, or how/if there is any mention. So long as any of it helps in some way, I couldn't be happier.
I'm not very experienced with this stuff though (Luanti modding), hence using an LLM to help me through the process of making work somewhat compatibly. Even doing this much was pushing me out of my comfort zone, as weird as that might sound. I'm not very social or good at programming. I just wanted to do what I could think to do and hope it helped out anybody.
I love this game, played it through to completion, and ended up with 807 electrons. Not sure if that's all of them, but that's all that I could find in all the areas I could find. It's definitely not a conventional sort of Super Mario 64 style platformer, but it is very tight with its own style of gameplay and aims. I really think that this is an excellent example of what can be done with this engine as far as interactivity and overall polish. Wonderful work, Wuzzy.
It adds a lot of new content and even fixes some of the stuff that should probably be in the base game, tbh. SBZ is already loaded with features though, so if you get overwhelmed, try the base game first. Then if you still get overwhelmed, go on the SBZ Discord and ask some questions.
I'm definitely going to update this review later if ContentDB allows that sort of thing. I haven't played SBO more than about a half hour, but what I've experienced so far makes me smile.
