Get saplings from the leaves. Saplings can be combined with leaves to get more saplings: this is more efficient effort&time-wise than digging leaves over and over but less efficient leaves-wise. Saplings can be turned into sticks. Sticks can be turned into planks. From planks and sticks you can craft a Wooden Axe: use this to dig Wood.
The keybinds are extremely annoying, for instance instead of the normal R for reload its Z, I tried changing it in the script but couldn't get it to work.
This in an engine limitation, you can only use the limited set of keys provided by the engine: movement keys, sneak, jump, dig, place, zoom(, possibly another i forgot). Rebinding zoom to R here might work if you're fine with zoom being bound to R instead of Z.
Science isn't about why - it's about why not. Why is so much of our science dangerous? Why not marry safe science if you love it so much? In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired!
The first dirt is supposed to be destroyed to get initial supply of bonemeal, this is intended. Make mulch from tree trunks and leaves, craft it with bonemeal to make more dirt. Combine mulch with dirt to turn it into bones easier (don't have to dig dirt over and over). You can also turn it into brown dye and then craft it with bonemeal which gets you brown corals: can be used to produce bonemeal more efficiently in terms of tree material but requires digging the corals with a pickaxe to get coral skeletons. You might want to check the craft guide.
Pretty sure you can only grow saplings on dirt and similar nodes. IDK what happened with your sapling though, shouldn't just vanish like this. To grow trees instantly you'll need some kind of light, either daylight or artificial, otherwise the trees ignore bonemeal (but they might still grow on their own i think?).
At first you make desert cobble from dirt and coral skeletons (IIRC, check the craftguide for accurate details). You get regular cobble by mixing desert cobble(/stone?) with gray dye. Once you have a bucket, you can craft lava from stone and fertilizers, and get infinite cobble from a cobble generator.
Debug menu disabled? Disabled by what? I'm looking through the settings, I can't see any place to disable it. In-game it's under F5 on my PC, and a button on my phone.
This mod is literally just MTG lava copy&pasted, except it's less bright, deals more damage, is NOT an igniter, and has a different texture. It has nothing to do with gold.
How did this mod not get rejected? It doesn't add any remotely meaningful gameplay (pretty sure that violates 2.2. State of Completion).
There is indeed not a lot of gameplay yet, hence the WIP tag. You still managed to miss like 90% of what currently exists.
The bug was: AsyncErr: Lua: Runtime error from the mod 'fogblox' in callback on_playerRecieveFields(): [string "fogblox.crafting"]:123: attempt to call method 'add_wear_by_uses' (a nil value) stack traceback: [string "fogblox.crafting"]:123: in function 'craft' [string "fogblox.player.inventory"]:266: in function <[string "fogblox.player.inventory"]:230> ...netest.minetest/files/Minetest/builtin/game/register.lua:429: in function <...netest.minetest/files/Minetest/builtin/game/register.lua:415>
your minetest is too old (apparently add_wear_by_uses was added in 5.6.0... thought it existed earlier)
I am curious, is dying every time you load the game an integral part of it? I have damage enabled, and it seems that every time I load the game, I die, and leave no bones (which probably is also why I have no inventory per death.) Also, it doesn't like you loading the game on a short node, in that the object you spawn on, disappears.
Digiline movestones' relmove command restricts the range of possible movement to 0..50 for each axis instead of -50..50. As a result movestones can't move in -x, -y or -z (absmove should still work but i haven't tested it). This patch to movestone.lua fixes the issue:
No, it actually specifies what kind of recipe it is. You have to point your mouse at an invisible icon (you can tell where it is by looking at cooking and digging recipes which DO have an icon there) and then the tooltip will show the recipe type
I fell for more than -15k in z-axis and I still did not die yet.
Death on falling is not implemented. If you want to respawn, use the /killme command. This is semi-intentional. (also, Z is a horizontal axis lmao)
Also, the apple tree sapling never turned into a tree even after waiting for a in-game day.
sounds like a skill issue. i use mulch and my trees grow in less than a minute
This game is too broken.
yet quite a few people still manage to play it just fine.
(I got 2 unhelpful votes in less than 30 minutes 👎)
gee i wonder why
Falling crashes the game
Can you tell me more? I've noticed that my server silently crashed a few times when people fell down very deep; there wasn't even an error message. I can't fix it because i have no idea what causes it to begin with.
that's interesting. do you have any more details on this? knowing which mod(s) do this would be nice
are you sure?

use mulch! punch saplings with mulch, bonemeal or fertilizer to make them fast grow
that's not steve th'ats sam

When a pine tree grows with something snowy nearby it will grow with snow on top. You can use that in a recipe to craft a water bucket.

HUD flags. NodeCore does this
That's uhh
Literally impossible (and completely useless)
Not if it's disabled

).Aside from forests and plains (grass with different tree density) there are also deserts.
No ABMs are used in the game.

download it directly from minetest.net or on f-droid, google play only has 5.5
Yes, actually! The Unprotector ™®© grants you the
protection_bypass
priv, which lets you take other player's bones (and everything else). You do have to kill them first, though, which won't work if PVP is disabled. You can craft bonemeal from player bones (created when you die). I wouldn't call that balanced.
👍 Remove function
quite suspicious i would say
Looks like a bug
don't use brakes, duh
yes indeed it is very dark
this is a review why? use threads.
as for the issue, skill issue. you should use the singlenode mapgen when creating a new world with this.
looks like we have a skill issue
a major skill issue
this is one of the games of all time

Snow can be gotten from pine trees. They grow with snow on them if grown in snowy conditions: https://wiki.minetest.net/Trees#Pine_trees
This is where dirt with snow is useful

Hello, crafting bronze is possible using the alloy furnace from technic
You're supposed to use logs and leaves to craft mulch, and then use them on the sapling.

I disagree, i think nodes are good as pellets
