Most mechanics function as they do in Minecraft, and the gameplay itself is relatively optimized (got it running and checked task manager, only took up about 400mb of ram)
only thing i would recommend is
a. item despawning (they dont despawn and it can cause issues over time)
b. entity collision (trying to work on a railroad right now using a furnace Minecraft and because theres no entity collision, it goes straight through other minecarts instead of pushing it)
