This is really awesome, it allows you to repair items without even needing to get their materials, like diamonds, which means it eliminates the need to constantly go to the deep mine, like the mending enchantment would in other games.
Speaking of repairing, it's a really cool process; you put your item on the anvil, which actually visibly places it, grab the hammer, and hit it a few times. During that, you can even see the bar appear on your HUD indicating the durability of the tool, or the particles coming out of the anvil. Then, you grab your item and you're ready. No boring menus or anything, but just a really nice and interactive process!
And guess what? You can already get the anvil, just for 7 steel ingots, instead of the approach other games take for tons of steel blocks. The hammer is similar; 6 ingots and a stick.
Overall, it's a really good mod, really functional and nice, with improvements compared to minecraft-like anvils (like in voxelibre/mineclone2).
Edit: Tip: You can even repair a hammer using a hammer, which basically makes them last forever, because e.g. you can use almost broken hammer 1 to repair the similar hammer 2 and then use hammer 2 to repair hammer 1 and you have almost full durability on them again! You can also disable that in the settings, if you feel like it is too cheaty.
It's awesome to have so many plants and foods to check out, some even expensive and sophisticated like the burger.
I understand the anger of others talking about it being useless because it just adds more ways to 'fill up a hunger bar'. Though, in my opinion, this adds a lot of variety and makes food making more interesting (however if you found your best food, everything else becomes useless).
Though there are still some problems, like some textures being inconsistently high res (however it's not as bad as the Ethereal), like the vanilla flan, or some items not having many uses, like parsley. There's also a lack of documentation, which can make obtaining some items tricky (you can even see my thread here with the title 'How to get hemp?'). Lastly, there aren't mese and diamond hoes, you can't hold left click with them to continuosly hoe ground, and mithril scythe drops items on ground instead of putting them in the inventory. The Scythes and Sickles mod may be helpful if you don't like that, but I didn't fully check it out yet.
But overall, this is a pretty decent mod if you want a big variety of foods added to your game.
(because for some reason I played often without headphones on, so no sound) and I heard that, when the engine is at non-zero throttle and you turn it off, after turning it back on it still has the same throttle as earlier, but also has the sound of the 0% throttle. When you change the thrust, it then creates the sound it is supposed to. This also carries on when turning off the engine, getting out of the boat, going back and turning it on.
Can you fix it?
Bonus: Maybe also add a light to the motorboat and/or actual paddles when the trying to move the boat with the engine off?
You can also just farm trees. You can get 4 mulch from 8 leave blocks and a log.
Though, it's still actually decently balanced, mulch grows the plant only about 1 stage more.
Alright, thank you!
Lastly, do you know a place to find information/documentation about this mod? Because searching around the internet to do so is hard (to the point where I needed to ask you about hemp)
Hello, I was trying to get hemp, but after trying to look it up, and spending a few minutes in grasslands, I've found nothing.
So how do you get hemp leaves and seeds? And is there some sort of complete documentation of this mod?
This fishing boat is great, but not just for fishing.
It can store a lot of items (Inventory size is 5x10), making it easy to wander around and collect a lot of items.
Speaking of easy, it's not difficult at all to get this going to speeds comparable to the motorboat by APercy, even while being that big.
It also has a realistic feel, with bouyancy (or whatever it's called, bouncing on the water) and realistic movement (also similarly to the motorboat).
You can choose to control it and not only notice the wooden wheel (or whatever) actually moving, but also a few items appearing on your HUD, like the throttle with... A snail and a turtle!
And of course, you can walk around on it and even go with a few friends.
If you go too crazy on it, then don't worry if it breaks slightly, because it's easily repearable with just several steel ingots (which you probably have tons of already after going mining enough to get a mese block for crafting).
In conclusion, I think it's really great for quickly wandering around the sea, which is even possible with many friends.
Though, if you only want to casually go speeding to places without worrying about inventory space or more than 1 friend, then I recommend the motorboat instead, and especially when you're on shallow waters (the fishing one is big) or if you are just starting out (I think it can't break?). However, this fishing boat will probably be able to amaze you too.
Note: I'm not a shipsandboatsorwaterverman, so I'm also not sure if this mod is super realistic and designed as an actual ship simulator (and I'm not triggered by it not being super realistic, if it really isn't).
The motorboat from this mod is just awesome.
Of course, it can go decently fast, using biofuel which is always easy to obtain (if confused on how to put some into it, then take the seat and punch the boat with biofuel).
Though, it also makes you truly feel like a captain, featuring realisticly slow turning/movement/acceleration and floating/slightly bouncing (or whatever you would call it) on the water.
It also gives slight attention to detail, like the engine motor thing rotating (you can even look backwards to see how much you've rotated it).
Literally my only complaint, which is minor, is that when you right click on the boat to get off, you don't get put on top of it, but instead, into the water.
Anyways, I see why this mod wasn't updated for like 2 years (as of may 30th 2024). It's because it's still great!
June 2 2024 edit: That just got fixed! Now, you get on top of the boat when getting out of it.
Is it possible to propose it to the minetest developers though? Maybe we/you could tell them to improve the camera so you can rotate them and stuff in things like minecarts (when going up or down), vehicles (when slightly rotating left or right), or in this case, in a plane, because else it's never gonna become a thing.
I experienced exactly the same issue, but on singleplayer instead.
When I went into a cave, after a bit, minetest would eat up HUGE amounts of memory - I'm speaking tens of GB in seconds! And of course it also got laggy.
It seems pretty awesome at first, the animals seem cool with nice animations, you get great items like fried eggs.
But when I was playing this game on my singleplayer and went into a cave, suddenly everything became unresponsive. Guess what? It was this mod consuming HUGE amounts of memory in seconds, usage went from about 1 GB to 15!
There's no way I can play this with such a disasterous bug!
Note: This may seem like a bug report, but I don't wanna go create an account on the propietary, microsoft controlled github, and someone already reported it.
I also was about to ask for this kind of stuff - actual manouvering.
It's sad that this mod can't have these features up to today - almost 3 years after the message before this one.
Just a simple question:
Why did you change the name from Mineclone2 to Voxelibre?
I wanna know because this could make people angry about it, while with no name change, nothing would happen. If you're not forced to keep the new name, you could change it back, or else tell clearly why you can't in the description.
Oh, 98.0 just released (literally 30 minutes after creating this thread) , I'm gonna check if these issues still apply. I'm gonna tell if I finished here.
edit: wait, but how do I check the release notes? Forums only go up to 94.0.
Suggestions:
a. Add a toggabble indicator next to the pointer (the one in the middle of the screen) about how long it takes for the weapon to gain its full attack damage like minecraft java's little blade icon.
b. Speaking of that little blade in a, you can add a toggle to disable or enable the minecraft combat update fighting physics, because people may like one or the other.
c. Add the ability to have any items in your offhand, like blocks, fireworks, arrows, tools, etc. like in minecraft java.
d. Make it so you can fire fireworks using the crossbow, like in minecraft
e. MAYBE make it so a redstone signal gets weaker and weaker when going farther and farther without a power source like in minecraft before the redstone rework to prepare users' redstone builds, except if doing so is too hard at the moment or the rework is close, or your reasons.
Minetest is 5.8.0 for linux, mineclonia probably 0.97.1 (minetest not showing updates).
Issues:
1. Dragon breath isn't stackable.
2. Waxing and unwaxing copper has no particles, and gives no achievement.
3.I'm not sure if this is an actual non-minecraft issue: The mending enchantment on tools makes it so all gained xp goes into the tool, and not just some into it and some into your amount of levels. Maybe rarely I get a bit of the experience, but I'm sure that on example, while holding a pickaxe and getting experience from a furnace, it will always all go into the pick. Similarly with mining ores. Is this a problem with how mending works (I think it's supposed to subtract 1 experience point from an orb to put into the item and then put the left over orb into the player, while also randomly picking 1 mending item to repair from the equipped, like armor and held tool) or how orbs work (maybe they're almost always worth 1), or how I work (maybe I'm wrong)?
4. Copper ore doesn't drop a few raw copper. Lapis seems just fine though.
5. When killing a mob with an arrow shot from a bow, it won't get angry nor drop experience, which means the arrow is probably just treated as a generic death source, not from a player.
6. Sometimes, a tree may become "glitched" and present this error when mining it (most likely its top): https://pastebin.com/Y9mxTWz7 (this error was gotten with both a leaf block and a log block, I'm pretty sure)
I tried this with oak and 2x2 spruce trees (the ones you grow with 4 saplings) in my world (because those were the trees I wanted to harvest). I normally grew them close to each other (the oaks were about a few blocks apart each, and the spruces were exactly 4 blocks apart from each other). Them becoming "glitched" seemed random.
(next section is in next comment 2000 char limit AGAIN)
Actually, speaking of angering the dragon with a sword and NOT a bow, I think I also experienced getting no experience out of mobs when shooting them with my bow, which could mean the arrow is just treated as a generic death source, not from a player.
Also, just to give you the idea of how rare debris is, here's an image, where every sphere is a bed explosion (x-ray minimap zoom 2x) https://imgur.com/DiZdV79 where none was found.
Edit: I also just found out soul speed doesn't work on soul soil, I don't think that's right
Anyways, thank you for looking at my thread and addressing my issues.
(edit note: the editor here resets these numbers to start from 1, but the next one should really be 8)
Why is ancient debris so rare? Am I just unlucky, or is mining 2x2 tunnels for hours and using several pieces of tnt for absolutely nothing intentional? Seriously, I was deep, only a few blocks or slightly more from bedrock.
After loading the world or coming back to a place with a farm with pistons and observers connected together with redstone, the pistons could happen to stay pushed out. This then requires activating them again, with something like a button to "unjam" them.
The dragon acts weirdly. It doesn't fly around, doesn't have phases, it just follows you and beats you up on the ground or when you go up. It also has a generic death animation, similar to any other mob. It also gets its healing from any crystal, no matter how far away it is. Oh, and I also experienced it just going in seemingly random places away and teleporting back next to the obsidian pillars (after going too far) while also being able to get him angry at me after hitting him with a sword (not a bow). Lastly, when he threw his dragon ball thing, it just exploded, without any lingering potion like effect. How was I supposed to get dragon's breath? I want my magic arrows.
I thought it was supposed to be flying up, healing from the closest crystals and then going down on the bedrock portal to perch or something like that.
Bonus: Can you guys add a little bar like in minecraft java that informs when you will deal the most damage with your weapon?
Fixing these issues could decently enhance the gameplay experience, and I spend a bit of time gathering these. Hopefully this was helpful.
I have minetest 5.8.0 for linux, mineclonia probably 0.97.1 (minetest doesn't tell that any updates are pending), no mods and little to none mineclonia settings changed, none of which were really significant. I experienced almost all of this while playing in my main survival world.
1. The dragon egg isn't in the creative menu.
2. Flowing water doesn't move you. It only moves other mobs.
3. Why does the trapdoor, when flipped to the vertical position |, act as a ladder? I can climb on it.
4. The anvil always says 'Too expensive!' when you don't have enough experience points for a certain thing. It could cost 6, but instead of hearing about that, it would just say 'Too expensive!'. Is that intentional?
5. You can't swap armor pieces with the ones you have on your body by right clicking while holding the desired piece. Example: You have an elytra equipped, but want to right click on the chestplate you have in hand to swap its place with the elytra. You can't.
6. I experienced mobs like the pillager with the crossbow just dashing towards me. Similarly while trying to conquer a pillager tower/outpost or whatever it's called; the grey enemies visible through the hole on the top while climbing on the ladder just move chaotically.
7. There were a few endermen at first, but after killing the dragon there were
absolutely none of them spawning in the end dimension.
(continue in next comment in this thread, 2000 char limit)
I wasn't playing with that setting on, but your command actually works! I just tried it and it just summoned the dragon.
Thank you for the solution, but I recommend also fixing the issue if you manage to reproduce it without the setting on, or atleast printing a message to the chat about the command before finding out the fix for other players.
I got this bug on 2 worlds, one which I played for long in survival and other player for short with creative.
Version of minetest is 5.8.0 for linux, mineclonia probably 0.97.1 because I don't get any updates pending through minetest
Most likely didn't change any mineclonia settings
Edit: Also didn't use any mods.
In my survival world, when I finally got to the end dimension, I saw absolutely no dragon! I even tried in another world, and the same issue is there. This also means that the bedrock portal in the middle, which is normally expected to be filled when the dragon is killed, is empty, and there is basically no way to get out. This also means that dragon's breath is not obtainable, nor the dragon egg (which isn't even in the creative menu!).
What am I supposed to do? Is there a way to get the dragon that is just different than in minecraft? Or do you need to fix this?
Please help!
The mod told to remove bobbing for best experience. That may be the source of the annoying movement you experienced.
This is really awesome, it allows you to repair items without even needing to get their materials, like diamonds, which means it eliminates the need to constantly go to the deep mine, like the mending enchantment would in other games.

You can lower it in the settings of the mod.

I'm calling it that because it's basically a better super cub; it has flaps, co-pilot and even a compass that you can set to point to any location!
So, if you're aiming to get a good craftable non-hidro plane, this is it.
I meant like actual animated paddles, because while moving the boat like that, it didn't have any, so I tried suggesting that. Anyways thank you!
(because for some reason I played often without headphones on, so no sound) and I heard that, when the engine is at non-zero throttle and you turn it off, after turning it back on it still has the same throttle as earlier, but also has the sound of the 0% throttle. For a bigger ship you can get the fishing boat made by the same guy.
Alright thank you
that more specifically I'm pretty sure it's the PA-18 (just fun fact)
Anyways this is a great mod I love it
