This library offers a huge variety of things that can be used very easily, vastly simplifying modder's lives and doing so in an efficient manner. I love this library and would 100% recommend to anyone and everyone of any skillset.
i have slightly improved the repetition prevention, now the closest that you can get builds is: Build A, Build B, Build C, Build A. i hope this helps!
also, i forgot to mention that i added the paramtype="light" the other day. please note these changes may take a day to get released here on cdb
Hey there, now that the jam has ended, I have been able to:
- allow mirrors
- increase the range of the hud telling you what you are looking at
I will defenitively work on some of the other things you mentioned soon.
I hope this changes your mind about your review
Hi there, now the jam has ended, i have been able to:
- increase the player's speed
- make the submit button's output more useful
Would this change mind about your review?
When i first started playing this game, it was kinda nice... building a nice little city. But then, as soon as i ran out of money, i encountered the problem of being unable to get more, i asked in the minetest discord how you get money/energy to get money (i saw from the description that you get energy to sell to the houses to make money), they responded that you needed to punch windmills to get energy... But no windmills had generated in the terrain for me, leaving me unable to play.
I also have two questions i hope you could answer:
* why is the player a plane, is this something to do with the storyline or what?
* why does that player have to manually find the starting road?
Also, arent colourblind people going to have a "disadvantage" in most games? I really shouldnt be the one you complain to about people with colourblindness being at a disadvantage, i PRed minetest to try fix this... as you mentioned, i also added the hud telling them what they were looking at and i dont think moving towards the block is that big of a problem.
as the tags say, this game is singleplayer focused and the reason you might think there is no challenge is because you had someone telling you what to buy
I would like to start of by mentioning that this game doesnt even have an icon. I think this is a giant demonstration of how little effort was put into this. Furthermore, there was a segfault for an unknown reason when i completed level 2, this might not be something that is the creators fault but it still influences my decision. This game, after a while, gets very repetetive and boring as basically all you do is press on your mouse to rotate the blocks with the screwdriver. Also, it would be nice if the game saved your progress....
First of all can i just mention how difficult it is to fix buggy lighting and weird glass behaviour on such a restrictive engine? believe me, i tried to fix it. the building needing to be exact was just due to time restrictions from the jam and i do hope to fix that later on (allowing mirrors ect). the game does have a mechanic to avoid consecutive repetitions... also, thanks for suggesting the idea of randomising some blocks, i will certainly look into that post-jam.
damage is off by default on my android device(also latest version) and was last time i checked on my laptop, you can also see that enable_damage is set to false in the minetest.conf. as for the shop not having Easter eggs, as you my know, this jam had time conditions and adding said easter eggs would take too much time(making the shop already took the majority of my time as i wanted to make each shop unique), these easter eggs would also add no actual value to the game and i dont see the point in adding any.
crafting doesnt work for a reason, to keep the prices of everything constant and the same. you also cant die as damage is disabled. the whole point of the shop is that it is confusing and hard to navigate through, that is half the fun.
thanks for your constructive criticism. the idea is that you get lost in the shop, it is half the fun. as for the shop being disorganized, i dont see how it is... care to explain? the glass and wool do use the same textures but wool is abit translucent. furthermore, there is text added to hud of what the shop is selling/what you are looking at if you look at a shop or a block in the demo/building areas. i do plan on improving the submit button's messages(it isnt broken) and adding levels but i wont be able to do this until after the jam ends
No explanation of what to do or how to get the tutorial, which was later explained to me on discord. IMO the tutorial should be abundantly clear and easy to find (or not even find), specially due to the fact that the tutorial gave you items essential to the game. Furthermore, the textures were simple and when i did find out how to play, the buttons were glitchy and only worked every now and then.
pr looks amazing, please see my comments :D

MTG no quiere ser una copia de MineCraft, creo que no lo estas entendiendo bien...
