It's the author's first mod, so they are learning. They already learned how to use texture modifiers.
You're right on all counts there. This has been a (slow) learning process for me. Not only is Luanti modding new for me, both Luanti and Lua are relatively new to me as well.
That being said I actually appreciate the information "offered" by the OP of this review, although the criticism could have been done with some semblance of etiquette.
The mod has been updated and it now has an API that other mods can use to register their own custom mesecore and digicore blocks.
After I discovered Luanti, I was overjoyed to find that it had something similar to redstone in Minecraft, but even more glad that it far exceeded red stone in functionality and the availability of related mods overall.

An MTG server by default doesn't come with any mobs which is boring. This mod eliminates boredom by keeping you on your toes.
Having monsters also gives you the option of making monster traps. Personally I have enjoyed trapping land guards because
If you like circuits that do complex tasks, and make smart decisions, you definitely need this mod.
