I tried using the Singlenode mapgen for the fun of it, only to find out that Mineclonia actually has replaced it with their own proper terrain generation. This terrain seems to be performance-heavier and more visually distinct compared to mapgen v7. It even has its own loading-screen override, as shown in this screenshot.
If this is what the Mineclonia developers are intending for us to use, they may wanna mention this in the contentdb description.
Mineclonia supports multiple mapgens. Singlenode is probably most interesting, but it is not wrong to use other ones. It is a bit difficult to document it in a way that players see, but we should at least mention it in the README.
