A neccessity for schematic creators
When I first started working with minetest schematics, It took sometimes up to an hour to manage to export properly after all the loads and reloads. Which was quite slow, and tedious. while browsing through trying to find another mod I needed, I ended up finding this.
This mod allows for really efficient schematic imports/exports without having to waste the time loading and reloading the world, sometimes saving an hour or more. What used to take an what seemed like forever, can now be done in a matter of minutes.
If you're a modder that works with schematics a lot, then this mod is essential. It's one of those mods you don’t realize you need until you use it and then you can’t go back. Highly recommended!
Truly a work of art.
ExtraOrdinance is one of the best games in luanti. It showcases both the versatility of the luanti engine and the innovation of the creator.
Upon your character dropping down into a cave you get a wide variety of weapons to choose from to complete the game. The combination of both the terrain, enemies and player weapons provide can keep you involved for hours, and you get a new procedural world each time further helping the game as you don't know what you'll get next.
The games textures are very very detailed. And they truly help the theme of the game. (It wouldn't be the same without them).
side note. I'm honestly suprised by the fact that this game was finished in time for the game jam.
Though some minor issues in the game have been reported like camera glitches and the like. They seem to be few and far between, so they don't really have a too significant impact.
In my opinion. This may be one of the most unique games in Luanti. If you're tired of the average block game, or just want to explore others. Check this one out.
Good for players, messy for modders.
I've been using this mod for a while and this is probably one of the best inv mods out there. From the player side. I'll rate it as follows
Looks: 10/10. - Usability 9/10. - FPS while running 9/10. - Organization 7/10.
Looks: The inv itself looks very polished, and is definently a top of the line inv. - Usability: It's not hard to tell what the buttons do. - FPS while running: Considering the detail the fps drop is actually not too bad. - Organization: Love how you consolidate groups. Great way to use fewer pages.
Total for the player side. Total of 35/40.
Now we get to mod developer side.
The code is a mess to say the least. I often spend 20 minutes just looking for the area I want to modify. Now I know that's not the fault of the current developers, but rather the mindset of the previous one. However this still gets a ding.
Amount of code for design: 7/10. - Code organization: 8/10. - Code Readability: 4/10.
Amount of code for design: Several areas that can be simplified in the codebase. - Code organization: Pretty well organized in separate files for the most part. - Code Readability: As a developer. I like to be able to actually read the code well. But It's formatted in such a way that it's hard to follow. Now that was purely due to the mindset of the original developer. Still, the readability is lacking.
Total for developer side. Total 20/30
in Total it gets 55/70.
If you're the average player looking for a very nice inventory mod. I definently suggest this, however if you're a developer looking to modify this. I can't recommend it.
Not a game
This definently is not a game. This is very plain and there's almost nothing to do by itself. If you did play this, you'll probably want to add mods.
As for the modding base. That's about the only thing this is good for.
I recommend you look through the 80 other games to find a better one to play.
Also you won't find new features in this anytime soon. This game is in a "permanent" feature freeze.
A nice challenge
Just like the original this game offers a nice challenge. It does very good keeping the overall idea. It balances complexity with strategy perfectly. Very good job.
Theme: 45/50 Challenge: 40/50
Overall 9.5/10
Amusing Joke
Used to be funny
:Theme: 0/10 Not unexpected. The title says it all :Playability: 0/10 Nothing to do :Sounds: 0/10 Nothing to hear :Air: 10/10 Just like it says. Air
:Overall rating: 25/100 averaged.
A must have.
This mod is extremely useful. It's great for mining, and overall walking at night. Often I find myself struggling to see the MT world during night, and this really helps.
My Overall rating: 8/10
Nice lightweight skin changer mod.
Very nice And very lightweight mod. Works well. Though the gui could use a bit of a fresher look. Also very easy to port skins to it.
Overall: 9/10
Definently improved.
The textures are really good. This is the quality I would expect from a good texture pack. But it's also more well thought out that the original pixel perfection pack. Very nice textures. I look forward to see where this goes. Keep up the good work.
Nice
Does exactly what it says. No joke.
Great
works very well, it's a bit confusing at first, but the code explains a lot. for the digilines button you'll want to set both the channel name and message to GET. And everything else gets set to channel GET.
good work, it has good possibilities

this mod is great. with this mod you can chop trees faster than doing it manually, but you can easily control how much you cut. Great job.

rather good mapgen
It's a good mod, villages are nice. It could use some more biomes in my opinion, but overall it's good.
