I play on version 5.3.0, on UBUNTU 18.04 LTS with a NVIDIA graphic card with "private" drivers.
No other mod active but skinmaker.
I got the following error message when I try to save my new/modified skin to ~/.minetest/worlds/perso/skin_singleplayer.png

Loved to play it and it makes a great starting point
While I understand some people frustration from the fact that Minetest Game is monotous, it serves a pourpose indeed: it is that it is more of exploration, construction and a peacefull mode of gameplay rather than the actual survival one.
Rebranding as Minetest Creative could eventually fix it. The fact that it lacks the survival experience indeed pushes away a lot of people, but this is trivially fixed by browsing Content DB. Perhaps some invite to do so at the home page of the menu could be more interesting so the popularity ranks by Content DB could fix the push-back somehwat easily.
It does also serves as a base to invite you to mod it. To me the fact it lacks stuff made me into the whole modding part so it is a good thing from that perspective.
Overall, I like the concept, idea and implementation!
While I personally am not the biggest fan of survival oriented servers adn games, draconis certainly has mede me reconsider.
It has life like although, technically dragons aint real animations, and the hardwork of ceejo just shows through everything.
+1 For a damn fine mod
I rather like buiding stuff in creative in Minetest, and this mod is the perfect companion. With a large block pallette screen to the right, it makes it much easier to browse for blocks than with the default interface.
My only issue with it is that I can't shift-click things into the bin by default, but that's a really minor complaint.
version 5.4.0+ needed (!!)
one of the best new inventory GUI i ever have seen before,
keep up the good work and more features and replacements wanted from the dev.
it is very easy to configure the inventory with this great mod.
Nodecore has always been my go-to game for a variety of reasons. And for such a simple project, it is truly surprising how much you can do, and how much there is to uncover; if you are willing to take a little time to get immersed in its unique world. The absence of mods makes it perfect for calm, zen-like play sessions, and the plethora of ambient sounds and subtle feedback cues really make falling into a comfortable routine when you just want to log in and make some progress.
The gameplay is deceptive with its complexity, though forgiving and flexible. You can choose to immerse yourself in a simple world, governed by simple forces that you may at times find familiar (gravity, radiant heat, reposition). A world where resources exist to be found at your own pace, and can be found without having to go on long, droning excursions to prohibitively rare biomes. You wont be praying to the RNG gods if you don't want to. Nodecore has all you need for a gentle, stress-free, voxel game experience. You can enjoy building vast orchards, or enjoy terraforming your area into your own perfect sanctuary.
You may be more of the ambitious, go-getter type, and that's just as valid of a playstyle.
Trying to take control of the secrets holding the nodecore world together will be tough, but not impossible. If you prefer a stimulating experience, where nature is as much your ally as your adversary; you will find that there is much more to the map than pretty little blocks. There are forces at work that would be willing to lend you their power if you find a way to harness them; and most of them are all around you. Best to keep your wits about you regardless of how you play, nodecore has a habit of also being mischievious.
If you like to play it safe, nodecore will happily be your sandbox.
If you like to live dangerously, nodecore will respond to your challenge.
Seems like a good mod to me. Adds lots of very cool dragons, new materials an weapons. I like that it runs well on old computers, despite having amazingly complex AI, high-poly textures and being a fairly large mod in general.
I am making a PvE Server. There was a confusion on the game I had to use. I selected This game is vote the highest by the server member for the game choice of PvE!
had a better time traveling with it than with boats. The downside: when the server lags, rubberbands, or rolls back, it's possible to fall to your death. The corpse run can be very complicated.
At first i thought it would be too OP or too underwhelming, but is pretty well balanced, its like having a multitool mod, but since it digs in a 3x3 square is more suited for building/digging.
I had a great time discovering Hades Revisited, even if it is only in early stages. The movements are both complex with a lot of lava and rough terrain but still not unbearable with the low gravity. Terraforming is long but satisfying and that precious water won't flow everywhere as you would like that soon.
The game is rather easy to grasp with it's craft guide and lot of tooltips, which will take you by the hand for the basic terraforming and let you go on an (underground) adventure to get the components for the new toy you have seen in the guide once you have established your campement on the surface.
A little plus I like: torches are not mandatory everywhere to keep the monsters at bay
When I first discovered Minetest, I haven't played any game of that genre before and was like "What am I supposed to do?", putting random things in the craft-grid without effects and running in circles.
The tutorial helped a lot to grab the basics and understant a bit more what can be done. Next is the craft guide to get the mandatory basic recipes.
I have played minetest for about 3 years now, and truly appreicate how fun automation is with techpack. It's compact and doesn't kill server performance. Highly Recommended.
...where the chickens kill you, plants kill you, the weather kills you, and basically, you're dead.
Think you can just punch some trees to make them cough up wood planks? Think again, chump. Nothing works like you're used to, but everything actually makes a lot of sense. A lot more than most block games.
Instead of a crafting grid, each crafting rig has its own list of recipes. This provides a nice pace of tech progress without spoilers, and without the need for a craft guide. It actually takes quite a while to crawl out of the stone age, too. I wouldn't mind being able to go beyond iron and, well... you know, the other stuff, which you can't do a lot of crafting with. Could definitely use more tech. More stuff to do once you obtain everything. Maybe more content (ways to die) in the dungeons, because they're just very dark and vast at the moment.
Sadly, this game pulls messy code from some other mods, making some parts really unstable. Map generation in particular is dangerous. Dungeons can eat your items, and a volcano may get corrupted into a mess of mapblocks.
Many parts of the game have not been designed for multiplayer, and while they can be patched, it's quite an ordeal to get it to work.
Still, we had a blast on Gundul's server and I'd like to see this cleaned up and finished.
The way the books are presented allows for you to also make custom Greeting Cards! These are perfect for holidays, birthdays, get wells, and miss you's as well as story books!
This allows you to have a whitelist of people who can access a server, and everyone else is blocked. That's an essential capability! It is frankly required to have a fun little server for your friends. The alternative is vulnerability to any old griefer.
It adds the ability to craft and place signs that display text in-game. This is a great capability; it opens up so many doors such as labeling storage rooms, naming houses and towns, communicating with your fellow players, and even consecrating memorials to your own bones. Just a fantastic mod.
Also, you can edit the text of a sign after it has been placed! You can't do that in another well-known voxel video game.
I can't say enough good things about this mod. It is wonderful! It adds so many kinds of ground cover and shrubs. The beauty of a landscape after installing this mod is much higher than before. I especially like the rushes and reeds that grow by ponds.
If you're looking for a mod that adds a great deal of beauty to the game, install this one.
This mod adds a large amount of different kinds of trees and wood blocks. It really livens up the landscape. It's truly a LARGE number of trees. Each tree has a different growth pattern, so that each is a unique challenge to completely cut down and harvest. That can add a lot of challenge and depth to the game. Really a great mod, both aesthetically and in terms of balance.
However, the new wood blocks added by the mod can not be used to craft fences. A small annoyance, as you can still find stands of stock trees to harvest for your fences.
Be aware that these trees spawn in places that would otherwise be plains! Plains will become much more rare after installing this mod. If you require plains, perhaps this mod is not for you.
It adds monsters that will attack you! It makes cave-delving so much more challenging and interesting.
Most of the interesting and challenging monsters spawn very deep down. The surface monsters are not very dangerous. They don't impede surface construction or exploration. That might be a good or bad thing, depending on the kind of experience that you want.

My kids love this mod
This mod brings a lot to a minetest world, particularly for kids. It has remained reliable through server, client, and mod updates.
Loved to play it and it makes a great starting point

That looks fun :)
Fun and smooth flight
had a better time traveling with it than with boats. The downside: when the server lags, rubberbands, or rolls back, it's possible to fall to your death. The corpse run can be very complicated.

Necesario para MTG
Este mod ayuda mucho en MTG con sus moñecos durisimos.

Pretty awesome :)
That inventory mod is pretty awesome.. I'm missing only one big thing. Slots for 3D Armor armors. Thanks for Your work.
Good system, I like the look
Never had a problem with unified inventory and it has good support among other mods, such as terumet...
Absolutely a blast
It's like a minigame in itself!
Core Creative/Building modpack
Homedecor is a simple, must have that is light on system resources. Enjoyed it for many years.
My favorite technic-style system
I have played minetest for about 3 years now, and truly appreicate how fun automation is with techpack. It's compact and doesn't kill server performance. Highly Recommended.
Cool Mob Mod
Its a simple good mobs mod, and the mob mod leaves much free space for your ideas
nice and useful addition
This is a pretty simple mod but makes placing/managing a lot of different nodes much easier.
Very innovative
A very good example of the capabilities of mobkit and the recent engine changes for code based animation.
very good
wow, it was really cool, great job :)
Cooles Texturnpack
This pack is realy nice! Its one of the best packs which i know!

Adds some ocean assets
Adds some ocean assets such as fish and coral. Sometimes the fish beach themselves; I don't know why.
Dolphins are included! Dolphins! Sadly they also beach themselves sometimes.
It works. It's essential to any server!
This allows you to have a whitelist of people who can access a server, and everyone else is blocked. That's an essential capability! It is frankly required to have a fun little server for your friends. The alternative is vulnerability to any old griefer.
