    happy happy little whisps!

i love these cite little guys, they seem to only come out at night, they add this "mysteryous" layer to the forest, by decorating it with happy happy little glowing pals, so cute. love it! i also love how they can be caught with a "speacial" jar, fun! also, i love how they are non entity based, and are mainly particles, original, lovely mod!

    a just "splendid" mobs mod

this mod adds vast amounts of entitys to your caves, including snakes, lizards, varius worms, yetis, and even "weird floaty thingys"! and if you are a perfectionist, and you think every mod should have nodes, this mod comes with several underground biomes to fit your every survival/gathering need! splendid, entertaining, and creative. great job!

    Extra variety

Cool if you want more of a mix of environment when mining or if you want more similarity to Minecraft.

Peaceful game, nice ambiant sounds, smooth textures and complete features

I played for about 4 hours. I have not encoutered any bug. This game is well designed and works. If you don't know what to do, you can follow the achievements. Be aware of finding enough food! I particularly like the menu and how the interface looks like. I enjoy this game.

    good but

good but the texture is bad finally the texture and the model it's too round it doesn't fit enough into the game it would have been necessary to make them square and less rounded figures too but the concept is really good and it is suitable for everything that is display plus it is simple to use

    The only bad thing.

Apart from the delay between actions (Because this is a feature of the engine), one drawback can be highlighted. The current item is** not displayed** in the first person.

    Great

I was confused at first because there's no first person indication of carrying the chest but it works fine.

Edit: No longer true. In new versions, you can see the mod you're carrying in first person.

    Strongly recommended

I don't know about server performance but on singleplayer worlds it's a great help. Should be part of the engine! Maybe you could make it so that it respects my custom building reach?

    Very interesting and clever

Congratulations! It works perfectly even with "Treasure Chest" mod. I'll be testing it at my server Thank you for it!

    Cool Game

Hi! I like this game. Good and original idea for minetest, but game is too short. Can you make update please? With new monsters, locations and or weapons.

    great for moving

Tested with mineclone2. Works great, even with trash cans. But I was able to “steal” smart shops and also chests from protected buildings. Protected by areas mod. Maybe your mod is only suitable for single player mode?

    Fun on servers

It's great when you see someone use confetti. Great for all kinds of celebrations! Players definitely like it.

Small, yet contains all the basic furniture and very decorative

This mod is a classic and has been around for quite a while by now. The furniture it adds is still very useful and decorative. It's also not too specific so that you can use it in a variety of situations without it looking out of place. And of course - here you get a water toilet! Very important thing for most builds.

The chair and armchair are very comftable for sitting on them as well (even if you just pretend to sit on them without using any extra functionality).

The basic needs of furniture are covered with this mod. It's not as big as homedecor but still very useful.

    Fascilitates rail network planning

It's easier to plan and maintain your lines if you can have carts of diffrent color. It's a nice and useful mod.

    Great potential

With the animations and art from this mod it could be great for those wanting to make a medieval mechanical addon to this mod. Maybe in the future someone will?

    Makes the oceans more alive

Nice looking models that add life to the oceans. I love the jellyfish model in particular. The turtle is great as well! Sharks and crocodiles are often less welcome in your vicinity...

    Choose your own time

Finally getting rid of the night! Though some strange players may even choose night over day sometimes...

    Works very well on servers.

Good - Not only for castles

The wooden crosspiece may seem like a small addon - yet I've seen many great builders use that part in particular to their advantage in a lot of diffrent situations.

The tapestries as such are great decoration as well.

    Great for servers

Adds fun to the game by showing some progress. Levels are also very intresting for players on multiplayer servers. Plus the server owner can require a certain level for things players may want (more areas, special tools, privs, ..).

Downside is that players may be inclined to do things just to get to the next level.

    A classic for medieval builds

If you plan to build something medieval or set up a medievalish server, this mod is very well suited. It adds a lot of blocks that you will need.

    Makes builders happy

The arcs are great blocks that allow to build impressive structures.

In combination with the doors they're even more decorative.

Only downside is that the doors - due to their form - technicly couldn't open in some ways. Luckily they work regardless of such annoying things as RL physics.

Battling monsters? Boring. Battle against plants!

Not that they move around - but they spread. Combating weed growth is a serious issue! Makes the game feel more realistic. If weed took over an area, it's not easy to pass through (best walk around), and clearing the area is not trivial.

You can see them in action on the Tunnelers' Abyss server.

    Tasty and decorative

This mod is installed and used on the Your Land server. It's great to share an ice cream now and then with fellow players. They're also pretty decorative for shops/cafes.

Skyblock with islands and great papyrus root

There have been servers based on this mod/game running for some time. They were a lot of fun.

You start with only a few indigrents: A couple of papyurs root (the future base of your builds!), two dirt blocks, two saplings and enough cobble to get a furnace and later a cobble generator running.

The papyrus root will make more papyrus grow, which then can be crafted into further roots and dirt. Thus your basic materials are provided and you can grow your island. Wood comes from the saplings.

It probably takes a bit too long at the beginning until things grow. That's easiser on a server where you can pass the time waiting with exploring other peoples' build. In singleplayer, you can try to learn how the game works so that you don't waste valuable ressources.

    Biomes in the deep

Adds decorative stone types and other nice decorations (growing plants, crystals etc) to your underground. It feels like biomes in the deep. No more boring stone! And the new stone types can all be compressed for easier carrying and having more decorative building material.

If you're afraid of the lava problem some people here commented about, then best start with this mod in a new world. That's usually best anyway when introducing a mod that does massive changes to mapgen.

Must have for mapgens other than V6

Most mapgens place the ores way too deep just to prove the point that you can mine further down in Minetest than in Minecraft or comparable games. So deep they make MTG unplayable.

    Must have

Hi, this is an amazing mod and quite addicting.

One suggestion -> Can we have a customizable blacklist for the nodes we don't want to see in the preview? FE: We use the mod welded lights... and that means we keep toprches in hand even just to light up dark places. And the preview of the torches build position is quite distracting.

    THX and Good job :)

other than that I wish there was a mod like this just with stargate size and texture.

To me it's much better than carpets

You get regular wool stairs and slabs. And of course the corners.

It makes building with wool much more pleasant. Having some volume makes it fit in much better than carpets.

It really increases creative freedom and should be core part of MTG.

    Nice

The world looks a bit brighter with this pack. Also more colorful. The grass is greener, and I like the acorn :) With the default textures I always felt like I needed to turn the light on. Brick walls also look nicer.

    Love this mod!

This is a really nice mod that realistically simulates tree growth. I wish there was an option to make the default trees also drop the dynamic sapplings as well, though.

    Good Foundations

Mind using this instead of Void (as a game template to start from Zero), allows you to have a more spread view of the possibilities of Minetest.

Also I'd name it better, somethingtostartwith. Lots of LÜV

    Thank you!!

    Why not X, Y or Z?

Nobody actually cares about license if it's MIT, including original game developers.

I think, in this case, your license should be unlicense or something like that.

A fantastic game that contains story (perhaps) - written according to the reivew

I haven't played it yet, but according to its description, it's a linear story, that contains an end. There aren't many games that contains story. It's unique in its own way. By the way, the cutscenes, especially a prologue and an epilogue, are important to add if it involves story. If it's possible, please add some cutscenes in-game.

    Awesome!

This mod is one of the reasons mining in Minetest is enjoyable. If I had to switch to place torches it just gets annoying, so thank you for making this mod! It's also very easy to use as a mod developer, literally don't have to do anything anymore as long as it is in the right item group.

My one suggestion is to add a check for what game they are playing, and automatically add support for the pickaxes in those games. It should also do this for the default light node if possible.

    Good, but...

It's nice to have fuel options and a way to make them. This allows many vehicle/transport mods to use the same fuel mod which is really good. Nuetral review because it requires default, therefore only works in MTG and forks. I don't think there's anything in it which actually requires it, just crafting. So can other games be supported please?

  • Skivling 2024-04-07 04:12 UTC

    Nice

I like having a bell, although I can't really tell when it's supposed to ding. Since default is only an optional dependency for crafting, it would be easy for this mod to support other games. Just use aliases or store the itemstring in a variable that changes depending on what game it is.

    works just fine

I used to play OB for MC (we had a small OB server) and it was my favorite for a long time. I'm currently playing it with mcl2. All I had to do was change the mcl_trees:(...) to mcl_core:darktree (e.g.) and do the same with the leaves, and voila I've been torturing my one block for hours today :-) Thank you very much cora :3 PS I would be happy to be able to play OB with my friends again soon
