Extra Biomes adds so much variety to the game, and sometimes I can't even tell that it isn't a default biome because the textures fit into MTG very well. And all the biomes are useful - what I mean is they aren't a waste of space, always having some extra fruits or wood in them.
It is definitely in my 'Recommended Mods' list, the one I give to my friends when they start playing Minetest.
The one thing I'd like is if doors for each new wood type would be added, it looks weird with a nice wood coloured house and then having to use the default door.
Very well animated, but buggy. Not recommended for survival maps
This mod is beautiful and adds a lot of life to my MTG survival server, but there are a few issues that pretty much break it for me, and the mod author does not appear to be interested in fixing them as they've been around for some time now.
Secondly, and much more egregious: animals despawn too often. They should be significantly far away from any player, say at least around a hundred nodes, before despawning. A horse that a user wanted to tame despawned within 50 nodes away from me, and while tied by a lasso to a fencepost. A song bird flew towards me and despawned in front of me. This was reported a bit ago, back in November.
At the moment I cannot recommend this mod for survival worlds. Raising livestock is impractical and impossible because they despawn before you can raise them, and horses have no use whatsoever because they cannot be tamed. It's still nice to have as it brings life to the world, but that's about the only benefit this mod brings to the table in its current state.
This needs few more things, because there are no NPCs, no monsters, dungeons are small and sword is useless. That "Minetest Core" needs few more things, like jukeboxes, villages, dimensions, or bigger dungeons, XP system, hunger, thirst, better textures, realistic crafting, damage when you punch wood with hands, mineshafts, and structures.
some of the things this mod provides are invaluable on survival multiplayer servers, where the admins want to restrict what players can do in certain areas. the special nodes - particularly fullclip and nointeract - are incredibly useful, and the admin pickaxes are indispensible.
Love the ease of setup and its nice structure. However, it would be great if Discord members could also send messages back to the minetest client chat. Adding this feature would make it an amazing mod! Keep up the great work.
Personally I believe that the textures for the minetest blocks are not the best. For a long time I've actually wanted something like this but it's never existed untill now. Take the TA2 flywheal for example, looks too realistic, however with the texture pack it just gives it that nice pixilated crispness of minetest.
It would be cool to place microblocks too, and to restore errors. Ctrl+Z , selecting microblock size, maybe 1, 2³, 4³, 8³, and click and drag a selection box like recent mod Build Easy Box does with nodes.
Needing the hammer below the chisel in the inventory gets realistic in survival, In creative mode you could avoid that requirement.
This is super great and scales creativity up! Amazing job.

At the moment the mod only seems to see, list, find and teleport to variations on tundra and taiga. You could be standing in the middle of a savanna (default) or right next to it and it won't see it, same for the swamp (mod swamp). But it does list the location when found and teleports you there. One imagines the short list of biomes it works on is a minor to moderate issue to fix?
I get how modders would love it, but it should also be helpful for server maintainers. If you know you have a biome mod running but haven been flying for an hour trying to find an example.
Which privilege is needed to run the commands and could the answer to that be in the readme file?
Well i was searching for mods a bit like the well known minecraft mod "create" i came across this mod. I was instantly enchanted and designed giant factorys in survival automating the entire game experience. The Official server for this mod is also equally as with a great active comunity and a kind staff team always wanting to help.
Very exciting, even although nobody's shooting at you
I tried this out of curiosity because nowadays it is so easy to try and add new games to Minetest. This game is really amazing. It will give you entertainment for several nights and sweaty hands. The difficulty starts low and keeps growing as you gain new capabilities. Many of the items and ways can be found by logical thinking, sometimes trying and guessing is required. And there are always a few extra challenges which are not exactly required to master, but .. well .. challenging :)
The key recognition can be sluggish now and then which can lead to frustrating moments, e.g., when the jump pad just won't fire when you cross it and press 'jump'. But all in all it works pretty well. Especially when you think about that this is a one-man show for a gaming competition.
Also for the second guy in this one-man show: cudos for the great music! This is how my Atari 2600 should have sounded like 8-D
Fork of sum_jetpack, with minor changes (thank you for the comment Neuromancer)
Here is the jetpack this mod was forked from. The Hero Jetpack is slightly different from the Sum Jetpack, because you have to hold the jump key to keep in the air, much like the wings in the Equippable Accessories mod. Other than that, it is basically the same at the moment, with the slight changes to fit the future H.E.R.O. gameplay. As a standalone mod, though, the small changes don't make it very much different (in my experience) from the Sum Jetpack, even with the extra challenge. When in a minigame intentionally made to make flying this hard, though, it is indeed very different and might be useful for game mechanics specific to it's challenge.
Now that I have read more, it seems that this mod might still be a WIP, so please leave a comment if this review is outdated! Best of luck to your project Neuromancer, apologies for my mistakes when I first made my review :)
You need to build big objects in no time? You need to fill landmass? You need to repair your world?
This is your go to whenever you have to build something!
This game is incredibly well made. I personally enjoy it, however, the only downside of this game is addiction and the fact that not many servers use it, also the loom doesn't work in this game which is a shame
CTF is an extremely addictive and fun game. I would rate it 9/10 because it is perfect other than the fact the public server tends to crash quite often.
"Adds craftable guns that feel like hit scan" is a flat out lie. The guns do not feel hitscan, you have to lead lots, but there is no visual projectile so its really hard to get a feel for how much to lead.
No hit comfermation on the shooters side.(doesnt feel good to hit someone with a shot)
guns dont do much damage, which is fine but then shotgun oneshots so....?
needs some work
This would be very useful for the youngest players and anybody else scared of the debug display. Only for some reason it doesn't show the actual description field of the node, which always goes through the translator first. Could you either change it so it does. or make that an option, or tell me how to do that? I can do basic tweaks in the lua, what I can't do is understand all 13 K of your code so I know at which point to meddle. I already have the Show Wielded Item mod. So something like that, but for the thing pointed at.
Even a mod with just a few items needs translated. Please put the translator function on the outside of the concatenation to account for grammar, I guess like this:
I really like and recommend the mod for variety and some eye candy. Haven't cracked the geodes yet, but they look exciting.
Full disclosure, for two child players who won't mine but deign to strip-mine, I have added recipes for gold from quartz (absurd amounts of quartz) and other metals from other minerals (even less realistically).
(then I whined here about a few broken descriptions)
I do like how the monsters are all based on blocks found in the game, rather than basing them off the enemies from a certain popular voxel game. It gives the mod a distinct identity of its own, while also integrating these mobs into the game pretty well.
Hola ! Saludos :3
This is a very good modpack-like experience overall, and has features for most players.
There are, however, a few oddities with stuff that seems in-progress or deprecated. For example, the "moon" area is completely missing, and the "mars" area is just a normal desert (I think there was a unique skybox once, but it does not show up).
Along with this, the Villager/Settler behavior seems broken, with the game telling you that "This mob is not tamed". Although I personally disable these settlers when playing, this is rather odd nontheless.
This has to be the coolest mod for Minetest that I've ever played. The amount of life it brings to the underground is incredible, it provides an amazing amount of further exploration to a usually tedious part of the game. The underworld, even if it is too deep for most players to reasonably reach, is incredibly unique and well-made. The moving statues are a very interesing and frightening touch.
I do believe that something that could heavily benefit this mod would be an official mob addon. Although the caves have a great amount of ambience, the fact that they don't have any special beings inhabiting them feels like a missed oppurtunity. I believe having unique mobs, both passive and hostile, would greatly benefit the experience. If they were to be added as a seperate addon, I believe that would make this experience perfect.
My favourite biomes mod

Awesome mod, I have forked it
I have forked this mod over at https://content.minetest.net/packages/Skivling/drwho_tardis/
There is also a migration function to allow you to convert everything from
tardis_new
todrwho_tardis

First, taming horses is bugged as of two weeks ago.

So many materials for your building needs
I can at least say that there is so much to build with in creative. I don't need the recipes, so I can't say anything about that...
Brings life into the players
It's a little bit choppy but that could be the nature of the game itself. But it looks so much better now!
Cool little background mod
if you want to make your game feel more like minecraft this is a great mod
Amazing mod.. Just needs one improvement
Love the ease of setup and its nice structure. However, it would be great if Discord members could also send messages back to the minetest client chat. Adding this feature would make it an amazing mod! Keep up the great work.
Gives it more of a minetest feel.

Realtime nodeboxing
This is the way for achieving something like Minecraft Chisel and bits or Vintage Story chiseling.
A different concept approach is Wesh.
It would be cool to place microblocks too, and to restore errors. Ctrl+Z , selecting microblock size, maybe 1, 2³, 4³, 8³, and click and drag a selection box like recent mod Build Easy Box does with nodes.

great for dye production...
...andwhatever else you want specific flowers for.
what was that?!
What was the black goo??? Does it spit? Apparently it does. Great experience :D

Nice little edition.
Reminds me all the confusing seconds I spent right clicking on signs to just have nothing happen.
Great for fixing typos you might have letf lying around.
How to use it
for new people you have to use the bait as an arrow in the X bows slot in your inventory

Now it's possible to save the world
Unless you try it, because there will be deffinetly a limit on how big of an area we're talking about, you can save almost everything!
Must have for everyone
You need to build big objects in no time? You need to fill landmass? You need to repair your world? This is your go to whenever you have to build something!
Got everything that you need...
... and if not I would be very suprised due to the mods it can work with
Craftguide
There is no point of generating an online craftguide as you will have to split screen it ingame to view at the same time
Worldedit
It's so easy to use with the GUI!
Best game in minetest?
This game is incredibly well made. I personally enjoy it, however, the only downside of this game is addiction and the fact that not many servers use it, also the loom doesn't work in this game which is a shame

Very very good to my server!
this mod can edit skin its good!

this is good mod but it can lag the server but its still a good and cool mod! :]

festive! Please make translatable?
Fun with no downsides.
Even a mod with just a few items needs translated. Please put the translator function on the outside of the concatenation to account for grammar, I guess like this:
description = S(color:gsub("^%l", string.upper) .. " Confetti"),
pretty and diverse

Very good basic monster mod.
I do like how the monsters are all based on blocks found in the game, rather than basing them off the enemies from a certain popular voxel game. It gives the mod a distinct identity of its own, while also integrating these mobs into the game pretty well.

Easy click and drag building feature
This is an amazing feature for creative use.
Very similar to Minecraft's Effortless Building mod, and goxel and MagicaVoxel place and drag box feature.
Building a four-story flat will never be such a tedious task when filling the floor and walls.
I'd love if you could also dig nodes in this mode. And diagonal box. Favorited ★
Weird world we live in
I could sense what that maintainer of this mod wanted to make, but seriously it is quite hilarious of finding such a decoration deep underground.
Well I have a suggestion to why not make this lava not only craftable but also able to form gold
