    Realistic

Amazing, realistic terrain. Easily my favorite worldgen mod.

The only downside is that it doesnt support caves out of the box, but running it together with a cave mod like the dwarf fortress style caverns works like a charm.

The biomegen dependency is also pretty much mandatory. Yes, the mod technically functions without it, but then youd have to play in windows xp wallpaper land.

    Absolutely Insane

Adds the most beautiful caves ive ever seen. The addition of farming and the like is great since it allows for setting up self sufficient bases kilometers beneath the surface. Another great side effect of this mod is that it can still generate caves in custom worldgens that dont yet support caves like the rivers worldgen.

    To improve

The current interface of the mod is quite unpleasant to use. It lacks organization and could benefit from a redesign to be more intuitive and visually clean. Revisiting the layout of the elements would be helpful to improve the user experience.

Retrieving items for sale Currently, it is not easy to retrieve items put up for sale, which can cause frustration for players. A feature that allows unsold items to be retrieved directly from the interface would be a good addition.

Item categories Adding categories for different types of items would be a significant improvement. This would make it easier to sort items and navigate more smoothly through the sales interface. A formspec should also be created to display what a specific player is selling.

Simplified item listing It would be helpful to list items for sale directly via the interface without having to use commands every time. This would make the process faster and easier for users.

Tooltip There is a minor issue with tooltips being positioned one row too low, making them harder to read. Adjusting this graphical element would improve the clarity of the displayed information.

    Essential mod for server admins

I don't know how I'd survive maintaining a server without this mod.

It creates a very clean solution any time you have to remove a mod, or remove specific content from a mod, with clean migration paths to other content.

    No texture pack here.

Abandoned and just a few textures inside. (~100) Nothing you'd enjoy playing the base game with. Should post this on a texture site rather than here.

Low coverage and rebranding, definitely not 1.0

I can not recommend this pack at the moment. It's missing basic core textures for both games like the stick you use to craft all the tools or metal blocks or ores. It's not even useful as a texture resource for other packs because if you want to have the textures you can just go to opengameart and get the textures with CC0 public domain license instead of giving credit to him for some minor editing he may or may not have done.

    Only good bow mod

The original bows mod throws an arrow item through the air. It looks and sounds horrible and not satisfying at all. The arrow absolutely needs to be left of the bow in the hotbar or it won't shoot. It's bloated and adds material variants of bows.

X Bows is bloated and you need to put the arrows in a separate tab in the inventory. It adds material variants of arrows. It has a terribly annoying hud indicator of how many arrows you have with you.

NextGen Bows adds a bow adds a bow and an arrow. It shoots. It has good sounds. While it's based on X Bows, it doesn't add a hud indicator and takes the arrows from anywhere in your normal inventory.

Edit: I had to fork it because the maintainer is inactive for months at the time of writing. Bow2

I don't know a server that could function without it.

I can't imagine a server without this mod. It would be a very sad server. I love this mod. It is also very good just in general for getting back to where you spawned in a world, even in a singleplayer world.

    Mod of statistic by Atlante

I would like to congratulate Atlante for the creation of the Atlante Statistics mod! This mod is simply amazing and a game-changer for all Minetest server administrators. It is an incredibly well-thought-out tool that allows for tracking and analyzing server statistics in ultra-detailed ways. Thanks to this mod, managing a server becomes much smoother and more efficient.

    earned creative mode

    i once played on a obscure server called "the escape" it had a XP system where actions you took gave you points. it also had a area where you could go turn these points in in exchange for various privileges (like fly, and later creative), this mod has a similar feel to it, and i love it. however i have two suggestions: make it so if this mod and techage is installed; a new machine for auto-duplication is enabled which takes a large amount techage energy in exchange for duplicating items;

i ended up duplicating a bunch of currency and i think i may be partly responsible for the closure of the the escape server i think there should be a setting to instead of duplicating a item, have some special resource (the burntime would work well) that needs to be consumed so in effect converting a item ,

    Player statistics

This mod is every nice, the developer has put a good amount of hard work ane will in this, when i found this mod first i though it was the same as others but, once i used it, it allowed me and my friends to enjoy in different ways, you can hwve challenges and work hard to getting better statistics, i would recommend all to use this in there servers. 100/100 in my books, and once again thanks to the developer for this amazing mod

    So cool

When I enabled this texture pack, the game felt** so much more immersive** and beatiful. I was amazed by how detailed the textures are and could only put my finger on a few of them (e.g. leaves or light blue). This really completely changes the world.

When I disabled it, everything became so ugly! I really recommend you try this texture pack out.

    documented experience

played for 20 minutes, the order of events went about like this:

    • couldn't figure out how to break a tree
    • ran around extremely fast
    • found a structure, nothing interesting inside
    • swam
    • tried making something with the sticks from the tree, nothing
    • ran around again
    • tried to use the sticks from trees to make something again, nothing
    • realized that i actually have to press right click to craft and accidentially made a ladder
    • got some more sticks and made a staff
    • the staff did nothing
    • tried making something with the staff, nothing
    • found another stucture and fell inside, there were some tools
    • got the tools
    • i am stuck
    • tried to die with fall damage, everything just fell out of my inventory because dying doesn't exist
    • i am stuck in a cave and cannot do anything

it might be actually good when you get further in, but from my experience it was really empty and nothing happened

    A rust have!

A rust-must have! Why rust? Because this mod renames generic stones, e.g. 'stone' to 'mica' or 'stone' to 'phylite', or even stained stones to 'rusty (stone)', so trying to stare into your screen at every angle to make sure the stone is slightly red to find lode is no longer a thing!

Not only that, but the generic deep stones are also retextured so they're not just the boring old gray but darker. An example is the mica stone, the first deep stone, obtaining a nice, bluish color.

And of course, the best of all, the mod says it in the name - it spawns strata in the terrain, e.g. of concrete materials, such as cloudstone or tarstone (which are also renamed). This way, the ordinary cliffs and caves don't become so ordinary anymore, as they get a more diverse range of colors than just 'gray'. However, they're also practically useful, as obtaining e.g. crude glass or sandstone bricks becomes easier (but may not be good if you want the game to keep being hard in this aspect). Don't worry though, as there are also several more types of strata, such as softer stone layers in very deep and hard caves.

You can view them all in the settings too, which of course also allows you to disable certain options. On example, if you prefer only the renaming and retexturing of materials or only the strata generation of the mod, you can have that. Unfortunetly though, there are some issues with it, such as not being able to toggle specific materials or have the renaming but no retexturing.

Still, I recommend this mod for every world.

In conclusion, I recommend this mod, as it makes generic stone and terrain way more interesting by renaming and retexturing generic stones, and making strata, such as building materials like sandstone, appear in terrain.

    Nice, could be better

The animation for eating is nice and the mechanic itself has potential to add another dimension of balance to food types (how long they take to eat) but the sounds are meh at worst and the burping should definitely be disabled by default. It's also a bit annoying that you can't eat repeatedly by continuing to hold down RMB; you have to release it first then start holding again to eat the next item.

Interesting, but doesn't actually add normal stairs/slabs

I think stairs and slabs visible in other voxel sandbox games such as MTG are great for making decorations and paths. I thought this would be a great feature to have in NodeCore too, but it turns out this mod is not it.

What this mod actually does is compress specific block formations, like a 2x2 wooden floor, into 1 item. It may be useful if one is looking to optimize their inventory space, but it's not even possible to place the thing in a different rotation, and there's already a solution to handle large amounts (spoiler) of items built into the game.

In conclusion, this is a decent mod for optimizing inventory space and faster placing/destroying by compressing block formations into single items but doesn't actually add stairs/slabs.

The best mob mod I've tried so far

Every bit of this goes past expectations.

For example, if used in Voxelibre the goblins have an additional hostile interaction with at least one mob rather than simply behaving as they do when loaded into minetest game.

Overall, it's a very fleshed out addition to my worlds and I think the other positive reviews cover a lot of the ground here.
