Really solid level design, honestly. Great Jam Entry - and a good entry for Minetest generally.

Love the trees and textures: but the current very text-like looking black with white text node: please change that texture === too many attempts to read them all.
Technically I solved / beat the game with only 3 plants, but perhaps that's a feature, not a bug!
After beating the ending, I got a nice NPC still floating at the top of the citadel, tried talking to him - nice "nil" bug because he didn't have anything to say - double check the entity disappears or have a better ending sequence (go to main menu, credit reel, you get the idea)

As a submitter of an even more optimized game so small it doesn't even exist, I can testify to the completeness of this game. Should this not take first or second place, I will be severely disappointed.

The idea of a texture-pack that is based of an actual system arcetexture insead of just bein pixel art is a novel concept. The problen just comes from the lack of support with half the blocks in the default game being unchanged, and the textures themselves are also rough and hard to destinguish

But it is not very intuitive for survival with mining.

My only gripe is that the time of day is not set, so if you play for too long it will turn to night and you will literaly be left in the dark untill the next moring. But other than that pretty fun.
To all the people giving this a thumbs down saying things like "it has no game features" and "its bad without mods" or whatever, yeah, it's not supposed to, it clearly states in the description it's purpose and it does it well. The entire point of minetest engine, and by extention minetest game as a whole is to be customized. It's not supposed to be a feature rich game out of the box.
I know I may not be the target demographic, but that does not excuse the fact that this breaks other mods that use Unified Inventory causing them to loose the functionallaty on the buttons.
It is like an old minecraft lets play from 2012 just turned into a minetest texturepack.
The sharp angular asthetic is on point and very well drawn and detailed without being too overbaring.
And the extended support is nice too!
The general art direction is very acurate to the Minecraft version.
But the only 2 things holding this back are the missing textures and,
the low saturation and contrast compared to the minecraft version.

With the bright green grass and inconsistant artstyle reminding me of minecraft indev.

and I can't to /grantme for some reason so I don't know what the ending was. :(
I spawned in and I had no idea what I was supposed to do I walked around a bit, then left due to lack of gameplay. The concept of the game is very cool and the game looks fairly polished, but I was mostly confused about what I am supposed to do, instead of knowing what I am supposed to do. Overall I think the game had a cool mechanic but was made with the wrong approach.

You can play wolfenstien 3d and chips challenge so that automaticly gives it some points. But is would also benifit from a bit more content

For being so cursed it is shockingly well made.
It's very nice.... for Minetest.
It's not bad, I really like the mod, I don't like the cave dweller, but it is what it is and it's also pretty good.
I hope it can improve in the future and maybe more types of creatures instead of just a humanoid.
