The way the flag moves in the wind is extremely pleasant and natural looking!
The main downside in my opinion is the way you click on the flag to switch between different textures, and the fact that the name of each flag isn't associated to it since it is a single item. (the mod flag_chooser should remedy to this problem!)
I also wish the flags would rotate based on the wind direction of mods like Air Currents or the Regional Weather Bundle, instead of being able to orient multiple flags in conflicting directions.
This would add even more interest to the mod, as well as a technical use to know the wind direction.
Other downsides:
you cannot rotate the flag to use it vertically
you cannot place a node (like another flag) at the top of the pole
This is the best flowers mod in MT as far as i know. They all have different shapes and colors and their names are like pet names so theyre very charming and beautiful! I recommend this mod 100%
Its pride month now, and i think this mod is very important for minetest community and pride community. People can have a flag for their orientation and thats good! I also really like the animation its very good. Thank you for making this mod!
I personally identify with the orange white and pink flag and i bet theres alot of others who do too, but everyone is different :D 🌈
Thanks to Visible Wielditem, players in my server can now instantly tell what someone is holding. And they can do it in all its fanciness, since the mod allows me to render the 3D item instead of the inventory icon. Nice job!
The animals are very cute and act like they should.
My favorite so far are the opossums, at first i thought they were nocturnal then found out they were pretending to sleep when i was around lol- I look forward to see more cute animals :D
i have some animals i wanna request added:
butterflies, dolphins, and any others u think of...
and maybe in the future we can have different models of wolves/dogs , like with the frogs?
if u wanna :) no pressure! but i really like the mod, keep up the good work! :D
Ill keep my review up to date with the newest versions also :-)
This mod allows you to edit the look of your player, with foundational Steve and Alex bases, a large array of color choices, and outfits for each color! The use of this editor closely resembles the character editor from Minecraft, but there are much more choices and you don't have to pay for or unlock anything. You won't regret downloading it!
WiTT is great for encouraging people not to use F5 to show node names as much.
This version manages to improve on the previous mod, but it is still imperfect. It doesn't draw lava or water sources, just shows their name. It also doesn't seem to handle nodes with alternative drawtypes like plantlike, meshes, liquids or nodeboxes.
It brings some more variety without being overwhelming.
Not all mods are balanced between size and features and focus on one thing. This mod attempts very little, and does so well. The textures could be prettier, but the only ones I have any issues with are ones that I already thought were ugly in MTG. Is it for everyone? No. But, you may find it handy.
I like hardcore games but this is nearly impossible. After 147 games all I spawn in at the beginning is massive deserts with zero resources. We're talking no grass, trees, anything. Makes it unplayable when you can't get resources at all after that many times trying.
It would probably be better if they stuck to the way mtg works. This is just way too convoluted and confusing to even be fun as a brutal game.
This mod is interesting, and is funny when whacking someone makes them shrink, but it's pretty useless, and not something I would recommend for servers.
(I accidentally deleted this review and I am posting it again)
This has been a complete time saver when building on my server. The only issue is that it doesn't work well with Unified Inventory as it offsets to where it's hard to see the borders of the R&D screen.
I tested this mod, and it works well! The terrain displays correctly, and the player position is accurate. However, there are a few things that could be more clear:
The coordinates are relative to the holo block, they are not world coordinates as I initially thought. So setting the position to (x=1, y=2, z=3) will position the hologram at 1 node East, 2 nodes below, and 3 nodes North of the holo block.
The hologram itself only shows the highest node in a stack of nodes. So if you have a tall wall, you will only see the top row of nodes on that wall. I fixed this as a test, but it produced serious lag, so I guess it's just best the way it is.
It's unclear at times which way the holo block is facing, so I sometimes end up walking around it to see where the little red player cube pops up.
All in all though, this is a neat mod, and it works great!
This mod is awesome! I tested it out expecting disappointment after reading reviews saying it doesn't work, but it works well, and looks great! This has an incredible potential. +1
One thing that should be considered in future updates is more translucent blocks showing every block in the area. Also, the coordinates are a little confusing at the moment and could be fixed.
This is a very nice mod, it really fits minetest's biome philosophy.
I had one problem tho, all the ethereal biomes are empty without decorations and i couldn't find any setting about disabling reregistering. Anyone can help me?
This has long been my favorite Minetest Game texture pack. It enhances the overall look of the game while remaining faithful to the original textures. Although it is incomplete at the time of this review, it currently improves most of the ground/stone/biome textures which tend to stand out the most, and that alone is worth a lot.
I recommend this texture pack to anyone who wants a simple yet pronounced improvement upon the default Minetest Game aesthetic.
I love everything you suggest!
I hope you continue to develop it and I'm sure many will implement it as a base in their games.
I would like to take the opportunity to ask a question about how the mods that add stones work (also layers or biomes ones).
Are they applicable to worlds that I have already been using?
That is, in minetest the blocks are not already generated when creating the world?
Or are they generated every time I open the game?
Mods like these modify existing blocks?
What happens if I remove the mod later?
Sorry for so many questions, but I see that you have put a very detailed description that leads me to think that you know what I am talking about.
From already thank you very much.
Regards!
minetest has a lot of plain stone, this is the best mod to add variation to the underground, its always a good time exploring and trying to find new stones for the colection. and i select some stones i like for my survival worlds
The game is fun, I really like the player model and I'm sure this has potential.
You should keep working on it, this game shows the possibalities of the minetest engine.
It's a fun game that doesn't really feel like a minetest game, I like that!
Also when I'm playing this on mobile it doesn't feel like I'm playing a PC game on my phone, which is good.
I had actually hoped people could and would adapt my textures eventually. And, well, someone did! Also, interesting use of the glass batch texture. It is a simple mod, very basic, but it works. My only request is maybe bring back the cracked brick?
Edit 2023-11-30:Mineclonia is a fork of MineClone2 with more Minecraft-like features that uses much less RAM. Mineclonia runs on devices on which MineClone2 crashes, only lacking music and the hamburger (which is not in Minecraft).
MineClone2 replicates Minecraft gameplay. It mostly works. Yet, I can not recommend the game, because of questionable dev practices.
Reasons:
Items turn into other items in new versions: Lapis (a rare gem) items turned into blue dye (made from flowers). In a refactoring item names got shuffled, and the devs did not understand item aliases; the fix was to add a recipe to make lapis from blue dye and disable crafting blue dye from flowers.
Texture names change: Texture packs and mods that depends on MineClone2 texture names break in new versions. Textures had stable file names originally, but the dev team put all files in one folder instead of mod's texture folders, with filenames prefixed with mod names. Whenever this is done, it breaks every usage of a texture file name in texture packs and other mods, which then need to be updated.
Mods are ill-defined and often tightly coupled: New functionality is often added to an existing mod, even if it only makes sense from an aesthetic and not from an architecture point of view. When functionality is rewritten in an incompatible way, in MineClone2 the new implementation often keeps the mod name. This makes it impossible to depend on the presence of certain features. You can not depend on the presence of crying obsidian, as it was added to mcl_core instead of being made its own mod – while the respawn anchor implementation was added to mcl_beds.
I believe the reason for all of these decisions is the same: Contributions are generally valued – even if they are so awful that doing nothing would yield a better experience for players and creators of texture-packs and third-party mods.

I realy waited for this time man! I love your game i hope you dont stop developing it! :D
The best Minetest skin editor I've ever seen

Quake-esquue movement
In a world where vehicle mods are buggy bhopping is the best trasnport
Happy bday contentdb!
Very nice mod for contentdb's birthday!
Super cute!
I love this mod. i think its my fav mod yet!!
Decent, but not perfect

misterioso y prometedor
Crea un ambiente intrigante y misterioso que seguro acabara siendo genial y podrá inspirar a otros juegos
Must have for biome developers.
Have been using this mod extensively since discovery. Thank you very much.
Too many spawns with absolutely no resources.

Turns empty dungeons into magical places
Somehow makes the places feel more abandoned and rewads you finding it with some mushrooms and fireflies
This has been a missing feature for a while
Now it feels right, cactus isnt just a green block now
Interesting concept but buggy
The eye height doesn't match up with the players size at all
Mostly for ambience
Only add this mobs to you game if you want to see bats and birds fly on the distance. They dont seem to do much else.
Cute, but useless.
This mod is interesting, and is funny when whacking someone makes them shrink, but it's pretty useless, and not something I would recommend for servers.

Dinosaurs don't spawn naturally.
add a feature that makes dinosaurs and biomes spawn naturally otherwise its useless
This is a great QoL mod

good
Even though the game has no entity, I still feel scared
Ehe Backroom is a good game
Very good
I like the idea and it is very useful.. It's awesome for building spaceships and similar. Also the textures are very nice.
Very good mod but causes troubles with ethereal
This is a very nice mod, it really fits minetest's biome philosophy. I had one problem tho, all the ethereal biomes are empty without decorations and i couldn't find any setting about disabling reregistering. Anyone can help me?
Good, but do not see any purpose in it
I just read a different review, and only just then discovered that it was releteive to the block not asbolute.

Funny.
I am using this mod in every new world now, it's fun.
Nice
Good idea and it's useful too. Also the crafting recipe isn't unbalanced.
Good Job!
It looks nice, I am using it for survival.
