Solid 10/10. Does what's promised with an extra twist: items picked up by the gravitational field don't just stupidly approach the containment box linearly but SwIrL arOuNd iT like a quantum tornado!
It could be 9/10, but the sound of the box opening/closing scared me so much that I even inspected the source code (line 268) to see why are the sounds global. Perhaps they aren't and they are just so damn loud! Because of extra horror, this earns an ironclad 1000000/1000000!
Plus the model... A talented fellow you are, I opine.
I could've missed this mod on the contentDB page, but my SCP-tuned brain automatically reacted to 'containment'.
The sound design is indisputably good. Especially the mining laser -- its SFX is just so badass.
The warp boots might appear dull to some, but for me the sound they emit justifies their function: they simply... warp momentarily, an event of unremarkable magnitude. The blink launcher sounds slimy, as if it shoots some cold delicious jelly, just out of the refrigerator, and not unbearably hot plasma, tingling with electric needles even, if we could ever sense it with bare hands.
Overall, this set of futuristic miner equipment is good, too good even... Advice for those who yearn for challenge: if you're playing with 'techage', modify the craft recipes to fit the TA4/TA5 theme, otherwise it will feel out of order and style. Just imagine a mining laser in the bronze age, or a Roman general warping around the battlefield through the use of blink launcher.
However, I have encountered a single issue, and it concerns the mining laser. If its beam connects with an item entity lying on the ground (rotating and spinning as usual), the game crashes, signaling that a certain 'a' has been attempted to be indexed, resulting in systematic failure and that the root of the error is at line 105 or its neighborhood in 'mining_laser.lua'. The only thing being indexed on that line is 'pointed_thing.ref', and apparently the 'ref' value of 'pointed_thing' is NIL whenever pointed_thing refers to an item entity. This is truly strange, but I have repaired it by substituting 'pointed_thing.intersection_point' for the indexage.
I'm expanding and maintaining a fork of this texture pack. I'm just putting this note here, so you are aware of it because the download statistics show, most people aren't.
Hand Painted Texture Pack Expanded
i love these cite little guys, they seem to only come out at night, they add this "mysteryous" layer to the forest, by decorating it with happy happy little glowing pals, so cute. love it! i also love how they can be caught with a "speacial" jar, fun! also, i love how they are non entity based, and are mainly particles, original, lovely mod!
this mod adds vast amounts of entitys to your caves, including snakes, lizards, varius worms, yetis, and even "weird floaty thingys"!
and if you are a perfectionist, and you think every mod should have nodes, this mod comes with several underground biomes to fit your every survival/gathering need! splendid, entertaining, and creative. great job!
Peaceful game, nice ambiant sounds, smooth textures and complete features
I played for about 4 hours.
I have not encoutered any bug. This game is well designed and works.
If you don't know what to do, you can follow the achievements.
Be aware of finding enough food!
I particularly like the menu and how the interface looks like.
I enjoy this game.
good but the texture is bad finally the texture and the model it's too round it doesn't fit enough into the game
it would have been necessary to make them square and less rounded figures too but the concept is really good and it is suitable for everything that is display plus it is simple to use
Apart from the delay between actions (Because this is a feature of the engine), one drawback can be highlighted. The current item is not displayed in the first person.
I don't know about server performance but on singleplayer worlds it's a great help. Should be part of the engine! Maybe you could make it so that it respects my custom building reach?
Hi! I like this game. Good and original idea for minetest, but game is too short. Can you make update please? With new monsters, locations and or weapons.
Tested with mineclone2. Works great, even with trash cans. But I was able to “steal” smart shops and also chests from protected buildings. Protected by areas mod. Maybe your mod is only suitable for single player mode?
Small, yet contains all the basic furniture and very decorative
This mod is a classic and has been around for quite a while by now. The furniture it adds is still very useful and decorative. It's also not too specific so that you can use it in a variety of situations without it looking out of place. And of course - here you get a water toilet! Very important thing for most builds.
The chair and armchair are very comftable for sitting on them as well (even if you just pretend to sit on them without using any extra functionality).
The basic needs of furniture are covered with this mod. It's not as big as homedecor but still very useful.
With the animations and art from this mod it could be great for those wanting to make a medieval mechanical addon to this mod. Maybe in the future someone will?
Nice looking models that add life to the oceans. I love the jellyfish model in particular. The turtle is great as well! Sharks and crocodiles are often less welcome in your vicinity...
The wooden crosspiece may seem like a small addon - yet I've seen many great builders use that part in particular to their advantage in a lot of diffrent situations.
The tapestries as such are great decoration as well.
Adds fun to the game by showing some progress. Levels are also very intresting for players on multiplayer servers. Plus the server owner can require a certain level for things players may want (more areas, special tools, privs, ..).
Downside is that players may be inclined to do things just to get to the next level.
The arcs are great blocks that allow to build impressive structures.
In combination with the doors they're even more decorative.
Only downside is that the doors - due to their form - technicly couldn't open in some ways. Luckily they work regardless of such annoying things as RL physics.
Not that they move around - but they spread. Combating weed growth is a serious issue! Makes the game feel more realistic. If weed took over an area, it's not easy to pass through (best walk around), and clearing the area is not trivial.
You can see them in action on the Tunnelers' Abyss server.
This mod is installed and used on the Your Land server. It's great to share an ice cream now and then with fellow players. They're also pretty decorative for shops/cafes.
There have been servers based on this mod/game running for some time. They were a lot of fun.
You start with only a few indigrents: A couple of papyurs root (the future base of your builds!), two dirt blocks, two saplings and enough cobble to get a furnace and later a cobble generator running.
The papyrus root will make more papyrus grow, which then can be crafted into further roots and dirt. Thus your basic materials are provided and you can grow your island. Wood comes from the saplings.
It probably takes a bit too long at the beginning until things grow. That's easiser on a server where you can pass the time waiting with exploring other peoples' build. In singleplayer, you can try to learn how the game works so that you don't waste valuable ressources.
Very scary (i find loud sounds skerry)

Unmaintained, opaque water, won't get updates.

Epic
Together with the Waypoint mod, there is no way im not coming home now.
Nice Tutorial...
I speedruned. I played it few times. Good Mechanic and map. Can you add maybe pvp stage?
Good Game!
It is hard to make maps for beginers, but game is really good. There are many ctf servers and all are very popular. I like CTF...
working chimneys
Cool. You can build a fireplace in your house with a smoking chimney. Thanks!
yammy cherries and more
Some recipes with cherries and other creative stuff. It's fun!
happy happy little whisps!

a just "splendid" mobs mod
this mod adds vast amounts of entitys to your caves, including snakes, lizards, varius worms, yetis, and even "weird floaty thingys"! and if you are a perfectionist, and you think every mod should have nodes, this mod comes with several underground biomes to fit your every survival/gathering need! splendid, entertaining, and creative. great job!
Extra variety
Cool if you want more of a mix of environment when mining or if you want more similarity to Minecraft.

WAYPOINT!
Really helpful for long survival journeys with friends.
Yummy
Untill now, I have never even known about Narutomaki
Great
I was confused at first because there's no first person indication of carrying the chest but it works fine.
Strongly recommended
I don't know about server performance but on singleplayer worlds it's a great help. Should be part of the engine! Maybe you could make it so that it respects my custom building reach?
Very interesting and clever
Congratulations! It works perfectly even with "Treasure Chest" mod. I'll be testing it at my server Thank you for it!
good but
I WANT DO THIS WITH ALL BLOCKS ! 😂
Cool Game
Hi! I like this game. Good and original idea for minetest, but game is too short. Can you make update please? With new monsters, locations and or weapons.
great for moving
Tested with mineclone2. Works great, even with trash cans. But I was able to “steal” smart shops and also chests from protected buildings. Protected by areas mod. Maybe your mod is only suitable for single player mode?
Fun on servers
It's great when you see someone use confetti. Great for all kinds of celebrations! Players definitely like it.

Fascilitates rail network planning
It's easier to plan and maintain your lines if you can have carts of diffrent color. It's a nice and useful mod.
Great potential
With the animations and art from this mod it could be great for those wanting to make a medieval mechanical addon to this mod. Maybe in the future someone will?
Makes the oceans more alive
Nice looking models that add life to the oceans. I love the jellyfish model in particular. The turtle is great as well! Sharks and crocodiles are often less welcome in your vicinity...
Choose your own time
Finally getting rid of the night! Though some strange players may even choose night over day sometimes...
Works very well on servers.
Good - Not only for castles
The wooden crosspiece may seem like a small addon - yet I've seen many great builders use that part in particular to their advantage in a lot of diffrent situations.
The tapestries as such are great decoration as well.

A classic for medieval builds
If you plan to build something medieval or set up a medievalish server, this mod is very well suited. It adds a lot of blocks that you will need.
Makes builders happy
The arcs are great blocks that allow to build impressive structures.
In combination with the doors they're even more decorative.
Only downside is that the doors - due to their form - technicly couldn't open in some ways. Luckily they work regardless of such annoying things as RL physics.
Battling monsters? Boring. Battle against plants!
Not that they move around - but they spread. Combating weed growth is a serious issue! Makes the game feel more realistic. If weed took over an area, it's not easy to pass through (best walk around), and clearing the area is not trivial.
